When Mago first came to the US he was training in South Florida at the same gym as me. Despite being a giant of a man, and the hardest hitting fighter I ever saw in person, he was incredibly personable, jovial even, and a pleasure to be around. I didn't know him for a long period of time, but in the brief time I did know him I considered him a friend. For obvious reasons this tragedy hits home. Magomed was always kind to those around him, and incredibly appreciative and engaging with the boxing public. He is truly a good man, and I hope he can just have a normal life going forward.

Not sure if anyone has already posted this before, I've just come across this info:

Moreover, Povetkin and his colleague Denis Lebedev recently made the headlines in Russia after they donated a significant amount of money to the family of boxer Magomed Abdusalamov, in a state of induced coma after a fight with Cuban Mike Perez, which took place on November 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Interviewer: Denis Lebedev and you helped Magomed Abdusalamov...

Povetkin: He is a boxer, like we are. Each one of us could have suffered a similar injury. We wanted to help. It was the right thing to do.

    Interviewer: Are all boxers selfless?

Povetkin: It depends on the person. Earlier, they would ask me: “Are you paid for your fights?” First of all, I box for my country, but the money is still important.

Without money, it is impossible to train, eat and live properly. Therefore, saying that I just box for the fun of it is wrong. However, our country and people come first for me, as they do for Denis Lebedev and many other boxers.

As far as I can tell. I've seen someone in person looking like that before and obviously it left a lasting affect on me and well that's the first thing I thought after reading this from Mago's Dr.

    :-(

KEYBOARD WARRIORS! you gonna pay the mans medical bills now, if not never call another boxer a coward, who has the courage to step in the ring!

From what I have seen they usually remove a piece of the skull to relieve pressure and later will repair the area. Hopefully, this will be the case for Mago.

For one they had no money except a paultry sum donated via the WBC

For 2, it has taken the Russian billionaire who promoted Wlads last fight to pay the bills otherwise he was ****ed

and for three the Klits have put in their own contracts that they will nto cover medicals.
and they are complrtley silent on the man that is ruined for life , which happened on their show.
