People always seems to look back when talking about the Klitschkos to try and find a name that would beat them, they are never in the present. It's obviously trolling fuelled by hatred
I find it cringeworthy when so many people when your talking about the Klitschkos say - 'tyson wouldve beat them'' Ali, Frazier, blah blah blah. People only seem to do it with the Klitschkos and no one else. Why not be positive and in the present... and just say the truth, the Klitschkos are great fighters and Pulev looks to have the best chance of the current heavyweights at beating them I'd love to see that fight.

But no one ever looks back to find opponens that would beat Mayweather?
who just like the Klitschkos is far too good for everyone in his division

I think it's a pointless thing to do because no one would ever really know who would win, so it's just subjective and biased views ( and because this is an american boxing forum, the biased views areusually to do with race)

    but anyway

How would Mayweather have done against

    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Jimmy Mclarnin
    Henry Armstrong
    Barney Ross
    Carmen Basilio
    Ted Kid Lewis
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Pernell Whittaker
    Emile Griffith
    Jack 'kid' Berg
    Jose Napoles
    Kid Gavilan
    Jack Britton
    Joe Walcott
    Robert Duran
    Tommy Hearns
    Felix Trinidad

Or if the likes Oleg Saitov or Sedafim Todorov( who beat mayweather) had turned pro how would he have done etc etc

Sugar Ray Robinson- Destroyed; knocked out mid-late rounds
Jimmy Mclarnin- probably wins a decision
Henry Armstrong- probably wins a decision
Barney Ross- probably wins a decision
Carmen Basilio- probably wins a decision
Ted Kid Lewis- probably wins a decision
Sugar Ray Leonard- loses wide decision or more likely knocked out mid-late rounds
Pernell Whittaker- probably loses a decision
Emile Griffith- probably loses a decision
    Jack 'kid' Berg- can't say
Jose Napoles- loses a decision, may get stopped
    Kid Gavilan- loses a decision
    Jack Britton- cant say
    Joe Walcott- cant say

Floyd knock them all out in 1 round...fantasy fight.

In the real world...Floyd health is even at risk vs an Asian midget.

The truth is that Manny would fight most if not all of them...

He wouldn't do as well as reluctant Floyd would though.

Robinson and Armstrong are possibly 1 & 2 all time

( in my opinion just behind Roy jones )

Floyd isn't allowed to even be discussed with them

    Leonard out works him
Duran....Montreal Duran would be all over him, people forget how great a boxer Duran was
Hearns is the natural mismatch that beats any version of Floyd 10/10- better jab, Floyd has nothing that could hurt hearns

Whitaker prime for prime would be such a chess match, Whitaker is the only guy who has better defense than Floyd. This would force a more aggressive Floyd. One for the ages, can't pick a winner

2009 pacqiao would probably do better against them all

He still loses but he probably has a better chance because of his power, speed, chin and stamina

PAC has a punchers chance against tommy 'amir khan' hearns. Floyd doesn't
PAC would gladly scrap with Duran, Floyd wouldn't, PAC Duran would probably be the best fight of all time
Leonard PAC is a 50/50 fight

You unrealistically overrate Pac's power at 147....

He isn't a puncher at the weight.

Slap yourself for that Hearns bull**** comment... Pac would end up worse than Duran did against Hearns.

    Duran whips him.

Slap yourself again for suggesting Pac vs Leonard is 50\50....

    Better check yoself foo...

Tough to say. I'm generally a modernist when it comes to H2H fights, but Floyd needs a few more really good welterweight wins (he's only fought there 8 times, and some of those against fighters moving up) before I can really rate him at the weight. As it stands, I'd pick every single one of those names to beat the same fighters Floyd has at the weight. His welterweight resume is just OK and we can't really say he's beaten the best the weight had to offer.

Would I pick Floyd to have the same success as those HOF caliber (and in many cases, ATG caliber) fighters against the same resumes? For the most part, yes, although he would pick up more losses by fighting top level 147 pounders for a big chunk of his career.

That's no knock on Floyd's ATG status in a P4P sense, as I think his earlier work at the lighter weights is generally underrated these days. I think putting him in against the best 147 history has to offer may be stretching him too thin.
