Is Froch on the decline or was it George Groves?

Up until the stoppage George seemed to be having his way with Froch even knocked down the iron chin warrior so my question is has Froch been in enough wars to whereas his chin seems to be a bit more fragile? Can we expect the same Froch that showed up (up until the stoppage) to show up in future fights? Did he get old overnight? Or did Groves style had something with Froch looking like that (up until the stoppage) and Froch will go back to Kessler/Bute form afterwards

Froch has declined slightly but it was mainly Groves. He's quick, he hits hard and he fought really well. It's always been possible to out box Froch and if you are aggressive and have power, that can result in a bit of a beat down.

Yea I was impressed with Groves to say the least and I know Froch is a very prideful fighter I'm not sure how long he can ignore it he also had a thing with being the best British fighter and his stoppage win (I understand he had nothing to do with the ref) is going to have all of England continuing to talk until he fights Groves, I can't see him beating Ward, Chavez Jr. while exciting is a sorta gimmie fight, Kessler 3 meh, Golovkin is still at 160 seems like he still has unfinished business with Groves but I do think it was a combination of getting a tad bit old and Groves fighting style

Would an "ordinary" fighter get up from that KD?

Maybe if he wasn't ordinary he wouldn't have got KD'd in the first place? Being able to take a good punch or recover quickly doesn't mean you are not ordinary as a fighter. If you don't think Froch is ordinary fair enough but that wasn't a great way to make that point.

It's a fight. **** happens. I know Carl Froch doesn't use the shoulder roll and is off balance a lot of the time, but I wouldn't call him an "ordinary" fighter.
Who else @168 gets up from that KD?
Let me guess, Ward gets up from that KD and wins the fight by highlight reel KO?

Froch is definately on the decline.

So is Devon Alexander...for such a young fighter he is all but done.

Was definitely Groves. Froch's chin isn't necessarily iron. He just hasn't fought many skilled guys with a good punch. He was dropped by Taylor, buckled and hurt by Dirrell, and now decked by Groves. There is a reason why Froch wouldn't fight his mandatory when it was Adonis Stevenson.

Since when did Froch not have problems with hand speed and foot speed? He nearly lost to Jermain Taylor.

Mostly Groves. Froch has tremendous heart, strength, stamina, and toughness, but he's not especially fast and his actual level of skill is pretty ordinary, specifically his defense has always been terrible. He can outbox a slower, brawler type fighter but against an actual boxer type with speed and a decent chin(better than Bute), he's never going to look good. His offense is very predictable and if you can negate his jab(which said boxer types can), he's relegated to swinging for the fences. Groves has speed, solid boxing skills, and he has pop. That said, while the stoppage was poor, I think Froch would have stopped Groves in the round legitimately, so he retains his number two Super Middleweight status for me, and I think with the right matchups(no Ward or Groves) he'll look decent going forward for another year or so before he seriously declines.

I think Groves was very underrated, good thing Froch had his referee to stop the fight for him. There should be a rematch, but Froch appears to be afraid.............
