That's modern day boxing for you.

Where bums like Collazo, Berto, Broner, Malignaggi, and Alexander are considered champions of the world.

Today's middleweights make the Welters look like ATG's.

160 has so many bums it's not even funny anymore.

Maidana embodies everything that's good about boxing, IMO. The quintessential Comeback Kid. He's living proof that will can overcome skill...

Yeah, Marcos is no ATG, that's for sure. But, he gives it his all, he always prepared and he's fun to watch. He might be a little crude, but he's tough and he comes to fight and that's all we can ask of boxers.

Boxing needs the Maidana's of the world, guys that show up to fight even if the odds are against them and they're the b-side, guys that dig deep and get up when knocked down.

Basically, this ins't a YA novel, not everyone can be amazing at everything, sometimes good is not only good enough but great.

I usually joke around with you but how can you say Alexander is good for beating a crude Maidana but yet Devon gets beat by a crude Porter?

Maidana has improved a lot since he has been trained by Garcia, he is so much better than he used to be...............

Peterson is a very weak champion, Matthysse knocked him out in the third round and should be called the IBF champion, but it appears that the IBF does not even care if Peterson was on PEDS.................Khan was cheated by Peterson...........

I don't think so? :think, I haven't actually looked into it but I've seen other people say that he's still got it, and I heard Broner's cornermen mention that they still had the "green belt" after the Maidana fight. I don't know for sure though. Either way, Maidana is better than Broner and Figueroa and hardly the weakest title holder right now.
