So boxing hasn't just not progressed at all in your book, it has regressed, while every other sport on the planet has progressed. Maybe you should find a different sport to watch.

Starting blocks..lighweight shoes and a composite track...Jesse would look like Mercury with that set-up.

I highly doubt Bolt could bust a grape without starting blocks....steel cleats...and a dirt track.

I wonder what kind of shoes they ran in those marathons.

How does other sports make boxing better?:think

You really think Vlad can get away with dropping his slow predictable punches to his waist against a bob n' weave guy like Dempsey?

Primo Carnero threw more punches in one round than Vlad does in an entire fight....plus HE MOVED FOREWARD.

Primo and Jess Willard were put on the canvas by bigger punchers than Brewster PLENTY times, and continued to fight...unlike Vlad's fragile and slow as.s..

It took TWO Klitshckos to beat ONE Chris Byrd:lol:

Jack Dempsey would kill that motherfu.cker EASILLY.

Vlad got KTFO by a full time member of the PGA:rofl

Lamon Brewster wouldn't make it past one round against Joe...much less STOP him.

As I said Lewis lost to bums twice, tyson lost to bums many times ( not in his prime? Well, wlad wasn't in his prime when he lost his fights) foreman was outboxed by a bum. Wlad is no different than other atg heavyweights.

Vlad is very different form Ali and Foreman...he's not as tough or as good.

Lewis and Tyson are not ATG's...

Lewis never got off the floor to win and Tyson didn't fight anybody but bums.

It couldn't possibly be that boxing has evolved FORWARDS, now could it? Bob n' weave is a strategy that was working in its era and is not working anymore. Sports evolve.

The 1880s in chess saw wild attacks that were making the audience throw gold coins at the winner. Today's chess is 'boring' in comparison. Has chess regressed? That's ridiculous. You couldn't win an amateur tournament today with classic attack chess. A modern day champion would expose the clumsy attacks of a classic player; just like a modern day SHW like Bowe/Lewis/K brothers woudl negate a 1920s HW coming in bobbin' 'n weavin'.

It wouldn't be effective. That's why it disappeared.

That may be your opinion, thing is boxing writers in 100 years will refer to both men as great, distinguished HWs. Just like the K brothers.

They all have left their mark on the sport, like it or not.

Klits are proof that most US fighters are products of US media hype and maidana is todays myth buster of welterweight , he just raped the sheet outta black fraud , who was just another product of media , he destroyed myth you honestly believed yourself.
