Remember when people said Froch had an ATG chin?

Calzaghe did have an iron chin. Getting knocked down doesnt dispell that at all. When did you see Calzaghe on wobbly legs? When did you see Calzaghe have to hold to survive? Answer to both is never.

As for Froch, I dont think too many would have got up from that shot he took from Groves or been able to fight back and carry on like Froch did when Groves was landing massive flush shot on Froch

Froch's chin is ridiculous. He jumped in with a right hand and got caught cold with a flush shot he didn't see coming then got up immediately and wasn't even hurt enough to need to hold on, then took 3 further clean right hands and still didn't look like he was going to be stopped.

If Froch had anything close to an average defence then he'd probably would have never been dropped.

Anyone can get dropped from a really good shot, Froch showed great recovery ability to survive and continue and then he "forced" a stoppage. Froch still has a great chin IMO.

 

He recovered from that monster shot then went on to take several more flush throughout the fight, then come back and win. I'd say that's a candidate for an ATG chin.

 

One of the best chins ever. Groves is a massive massive puncher and froch took the shots for the rest of the fight after being put down, I don't even like froch but his chin is pure granite.

Actually Froch's chin is about all he has going for him. If it wasn't for how tough he is he wouldn't have made it past European level.
