Is Erislandy Lara unbeatable at 154, can anyone at 154 beat him?

    I don't know but his style just seems that it would neutralize anyone at 154...


    How would he do against the champs of the division? Can he beat any of the below champs?

    2. Carlos Molina
    3. Floyd Mayweather

    I don't know...I only see one fighter on the list that I've listed that can beat Lara. He not the best fighter but he seems to do everything right to neutralized his opponents.

    Molina could beat him, and arguably many feel he already did (myself included).

    Floyd beats him too, handily IMHO.

    Vanes was tappin that ass for large parts of their fight, Lara did good against Trout though., he's improved.

    Sheeeeit. Lara's basically a bigger, southpaw version of Floyd. Before dismissing this statement, watch his last 4 fights closely. His defense isn't quite on par with Floyd's but everything else is.
    A counter puncher like Floyd needs to control distance to be successful and that would be very difficult to do against a bigger guy who is equally adept at doing so.

    Disagree with Canelo beating him. Alvarez is too one dimensional and Lara is too Cuban to be pressured.

    Lara improved a lot. At this moment only Floyd could beat him but it'd be a difficult fight for him (Floyd).

    From all of those good names from 140 - 154, Lara is the only fighter that I'd really like to see vs Floyd @ 154/152 lbs but first Lara has to beat a big name like Canelo or Cotto to be taken in consideration as a worthy opponent for Floyd.

    but Lara got a gift draw, just like he got against Vanes where he should have been Dq'd for that intentional headbutt

    Molina(again)
    Canelo
    Floyd Mayweather
    Angulo(again)

    Some of the other younger fighters such as Willie Nelson might be interesting to see a few fights later.
