Because he's not a damn WW/JMW. Floyd has no business fighting at 147 and 154 except he such a tremendously skilled talent that he can pull it off and make it look easy. Floyd's fight night weight for the last several years has been 150 or less.. He's been fighting at 147 and 154 weighing in a 150 soak and wet on fight night. You've got guys like Ortiz, Mosley, Berto, Maidana, Canelo coming it comfortably in the 160's. Even Broner weighed 6lbs more than "big bro" and everyone is screaming that he needs to move down in weight.

Mayweather at 150 is the same size as LW/Omar Figueroa-150, LW/Terrence Crawford-150, JWW/Danny Garcia-150, JWW/Matthysse-151. Mayweather needs to stop slaying the giants with his superior boxing ability and move dowin weight, stop putting himself at a disadvantage and fight guys his own size. Then he could give the fans more KO's.:rasta

It is true if he moved down he would get KOs but im not sure how his body would handle weight draining

Plus his speed is a big advantage at these weights so he doesnt need to come in heavy

He would still have a speed advantage over Garcia, Matthysee. I'm not really serious in my suggestion. I just like to highlight how small he is, because if he ever did fight Garcia, people would accuse him of picking on a smaller JWW even though they are both the same size.

Mayweather Sr often says that Floyd is a 140 pounder.
    That's about right.

He could float between 140-147, probably just fights at 154 because he can get away with it.

Mayweather can't make 140, no way. He failed to make the catchweight limit of 1443/144 against Marquez.

No no no no...because the man fights like a *****.
Defence is his primary weapon followed By single counters. There is no intent of throwing a sustained combo...

Duran started out 120lbs., was a lightweight for a long time and ended up knocking out super middleweights in his 40s. quit making excuses for Froid. he's a slick, defensive, cherry pickin blowfish, and that's all he is.
