    Haha i hate mayweather but hes a atg. Joes is hall of famer hes no great. This thread is ******ed this guy should be shot

    despite the weight difference, mayweather wouldn't even consider a light middle weight (ie going UP in weight to face someone heavier) journeyman like evans ashira to be a semi worthy opponent, but joe calzaghe loves **** opponents like lmw ashira (ie forcing a light opponent to go up in weight) for his smw title defences.

    the difference in class is obvious - regional wbo title versus valid world titles.

    You can make a good case that Castillo beat Mayweather in there first fight. That is why they had a second which Mayweather clearly won. But Mayweather probably should have lost that first fight but we all know how boxing works.

    Just to clarify Calzaghe only fought Tocker Pudwill as he was a last minute replacement as his opponent pulled out. Not that logic matters on this forum!!

    Froch isn't much younger than Calzaghe. If anyone is to blame for that fight never being an option, it's Froch's fault for starting his pro career so late. When Calzaghe retired, Froch was still completely unknown to casual fans.
