Unfortunately Pacquiao is a prime candidate to get bent over the table by somebody like Arum. Perfect really. One of the great fighters of the era, fan friendly style that means he is one of the few capable of generating tens of millions and crucially, he is a fairly stupid guy.

He probably knows Arum is ripping him off but either doesn't know what to do about it or can't comprehend the gravity of the situation and is just letting it go, like a naïve child. He's a beast in the ring but outside of it I get the impression he is a total pushover when it comes to business and his financial affair.

what is interesting to me is pac-floyd in may 2014. thats where i channel whatever energy i have when i go to this forum.

if the fight is signed, i can honestly say, maybe those posts, those polls i answered, maybe some powers that be were reading tehm, maybe, just maybe, i might have influenced them.

as a fan, i honestly say, i did my part to make the fight happen.

 

A boxers job is to train and fight, but they should want to know about the business they are in. Its naive to sit back and "expect" everything to be taken care of. It should be their responsibility to ask questions, esp. about their finances. How else do they live when their career is over?

I would expect and hope that all fighters know everything about their job esp. the most important part, how they get paid and what to do with their money.

Like I said, to not ask questions is dumb and naive.
