I'll take Mayweather for longevity, dominance, and level of competition. Pacquiao has more division titles they have the same amount of lineal titles but p4p the guys Mayweather fought were the sturdier and more fit fighters.

Its easy to get caught in names but people tend to over look where they were at and what they were doing in there careers at the times of the fights.

For example using Pacquiao p4p Pacquiao is over D.Garcia no question but in 2014 a win over undefeated lineal champ Garcia is worth more than a win over Pacquiao who is 2-2 or quite possibly 1-3 in his last four fights

They were both from the same era yet pac was voted fighter of the decade, for obvious reason. People take for granted pac fighting at 147 now, but at one point many posters here said he would rank top 10 ATG with the likes of Armstrong if he ever became WW champ, deeming it impossible as he was already considered punching above his weight at 130. Pac has continually shocked people, Floyd has never done that. Go beat Ward, that would be the same achievement.

Since people want my opinion, I think its Floyd and pretty clear One of the most dominant 130's and 135's ever. He's beaten 3 undefeated fighters, all champions and #1 in their divisions at the time. ( Corrales, Hatton, DLH ) Jumped from 140 to 154 within 11 months, beating champions in all 3 divisions.

He's been fighting in a generation where fighters cut weight to fight at weightclasses they dont belong, while fighting at his walking weight since 130. Even when he fought Chico, he gave up a reach advantage and was outweighed by 10 pounds.

He fought Castillo and was outweighed by 10 pounds.
    Canelo by 15.
    Oscar by 15.
    Ortiz by 10

No other fighter in the history of the sport routinely gives up weight like him, he suffers from his dicipine. Even when Pac was fighting at 135, he was coming in as a Welter.

    Post 2007.

He's fought Marquez ( who went on the KO Pac)
Ortiz who was champion, coming off beating a then undefeated berto in FOTY.
    Mosley lineal 147
    Cotto Champion #1 Jr Middle.
    Canelo Champion #1 Jr Middle.

Pac has some great wins, but a lot of them are exaggerated because of the conditions he set for some fighters. A lot of them off losses, a lot of them at catchweights, a lot of them were shot. He's still an ATG, no doubt, but not as highly ranked as Floyd.

Pac hasnt fought an opponent with a pulse and won convincingly in a long time. No undefeated opponents either.

The Poll is about opinions, it just proves that there are more Pacquiao fans and Mayweather haters on this site then anyone else.

I dont know any boxing pundits, historians , or experts who have Pac rated higher than Floyd, but to each his own

when floyd starts fighting in his 6th and 7th division, come back and tell us how easy it is.

pac is a once a generation athlete/boxer whose uniques set of skills and physical make up allowed him to fight people so much bigger than him and made it look easy.

pac;s eats 5 x a day to fight in his 7th division. who has done this in history?

    your facts are bullsit.

floyd drained a guy with stamina issues to begin with. no wonder drainelo was too scared to punch he will gas.

    cotto, lmao.

I don't get this argument. Pac fighting at ww is almost like Floyd fighting at mw. Look at the weight class they came from.
