Pascal is on record saying Kovalev isn't 'the man to beat at LHW' because he's untested. Now Pascal has a pretty good beard and has a good chance of beating Bute... even if he doesn't, Kovalev might be shoved down his throat by HBO after the Bute fight.

Can Sergey KO Sit-Down-With-Yo-Tight-Jeans Pascal? :hey

Pascal has been dropped by Hopkins and hurt by Dawson. Kovalev has more than enough power to knock him out.

Pascal is overrated. Kovalev would knock him out before the 6th round.

Just to set the record straight.....Hopkins was dropped twice by Pascal not the opposite. I've never seen Pascal down in a professional fight. As for Dawson...maybe he was hurt once in the 10th or 11th round coming from an uppercut but that's it.

No, Hopkins knocked him down twice. They were ruled slips but they weren't.

Yes, I don't believe in uncrackable chins. Pascal can be hit, Kovalev is good enough and hits hard enough.

Pascal's good, but Kovalev will be too much for him, imo... This fight won't go the distance!

Second fight, round 10, 1:16 left in the round - clean knockdown by Hopkins, not called, Pascal pretends he slipped.

Pascal is faster than Kovalev and hits hard too. Pascal has a chance to beat Kovalev, he is legit.

Clearly off balance with the left hook...THAT'S what you call a real KD.?
And now, for the "KD" from the first fight, you'll tell me that B-Hop didn't pushed Pascal?

    Give me a break...:patsch

Pascal is good, but Kovalev will have him on the run almost from the word go. Pascal can fight, but seems only to be able to do so in spurts. If he tries to bum rush Kovalev, he will get laid the heck out. So, should he go on the run, he doesn't have the gas to stay so mobile for so long. Kovalev would eventually catch up with him. Now Kovalev's reserves are largely untested, so there is a bit of the unknown there, but if Pascal goes into those long stretches of low activity, Kovalev will just start teeing off. Don't much like JP's chances vs Kovalev. I much prefer his chances vs Stevenson.
