Bollocks! You must then give Ali or Bonavena a chance at Klitshko, but not Louis? Why is the 60's a cut off point?

Wladimir hasn't lost in 10 years, people need to stop rehashing fights from years ago. People also need to stop pretending Joe Louis was some kind of Pernell Whitaker clone skill wise.

People also need to stop pretending that the current crop of HW's that Wlad has been facing are so great.

Billy Conn would of demolished Haye.
You are becoming the biggest joke on this forum. Its clear you are not a fan of boxing and are just a fan of two individuals.

If you watched Haye's career you would be aware he struggled with guys you never heard of and got stopped by a past his prime Thompson who went life and death with a shot middle weight years earlier.

Louis destroys Wlad in 4. Wlad has never faced a puncher as skilled as Louis, and Joe excelled against larger fighters.

Yes, but the guys Louis faced were great?

Here's the "battle of the bums", Baer vs. Galento. Idiots here on the forum actually bring up these names as testament to the greatness of Louis' wins :rofl

No but some people keep claiming that boxers keep getting better and better all the time and that the guys Wlad has beat would easily beat the best of the best from the past but apart from Wlad, the rest of the current HW's don't seem anything special at all to me.

No i mean against guys like Carnera who fought just like Vittles. So in essence Louis has already proved he could destroy the so called modern style.

Galento was a bum, but Max Baer was a great fighter. He hit hard and his punches came at you fast and from odd angles. See his fight against Primo Carnera, who by the way fought a lot like Vitali Klitschko.

Carnera had a glass chin and fought NOTHING like Vitali. Zero similarity other than their height. That's like saying "Vitali fights just like Valuev (because they're both tall)". That pretty stupid isn't it?

Joe was a great boxer and a great person
Grew up in unbelievable hardship, depression, WWII,
prejudice. The fact that he stood up to those odds and survived
is testimony to the will and character of this man.
    Joe was a class act
