Anywhere anytime my ass. If he really wanted this fight it would have happened in 2010 without the bull**** list of demands he threw around. It's funny how Manny Pacquiao was the reason behind Mayweather introducing a new "testing" rule. If he wasn't impressed or intimidated by what Pacquiao was doing he wouldn't have requested this.

This fight holds no value anymore. It meant something in 2010, could have remained great in 2011 and became boring to discuss in 2012. Now it's pointless considering Pacquiao's recent brutal loss.

Top post, although i think its still an interesting fight.
Would have been huge within a couple of years of 2009,when it was apparent that Manny was at his peak and an absolute beast, even though his nemisis JMM was always stylistically a problem for him.Pretty obvious Manny has slid whereas can anyone really say Fraud has going by recent performances so it means way less now.
Hopefully this has blighted Frauds legacy as no matter what spin he and *****s put on it,his demands and ducking have deprived boxing the biggest fight in many, many years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of both and have been a fan since 2003. I certainly don't consider Mayweather a "fraud" but in this case there's no way anyone can defend him. He has brought up endless ridiculous demands that clearly indicate he doesn't want to negotiate. From testing to "take $40 million while I take everything else including 100% of PPV earnings" to leave Arum to join TMT.

This fight would have been an explosion of a fight if it happened in 2010. Literally EVERYONE knew both fighters and were dying to hear them announce a date. In 2009 it wouldn't have happened because Mayweather returned late and signed one fight with Marquez, which unusually didn't require blood testing. It's 2010 that people really wanted this fight and still wanted it in 2011 just as bad. After that all has gone downhill and with Pacquiao's loss the overall interest is dead.

Mayweather has been in the p4p ranking since he won his first title in in the 90's, stayed up there his whole career, once Jones lost to Tarver he was ranked #1 and has been for over 10 years. How can Pac be ranked higher if he was really never the best fighter at one point his whole career?? Maybe at 1 point he was but gimme a break.

Not to mention that Mayweather has 1 close fight, dominated all opponents, still in top form and lineal champ in 2 weight classes at the same time, and Pac has done nothing at all since the DLH fight. Cotto was a decent win but thats it in 5 damn years!! Canelo win that Mayweather has beats all what Pac has done the last 5 years IMO. KO Hatton who Mayweather already KO is not a better win then Canelo, and whats crazy is u can say Canelo is nothing but hes gonna be around for the next 15 years and that could be one of Mayweather greatest wins if he ends up like 60-65 and 2.

This not taking risk stuff is ridiculous guys. just cause hes undefeated doesnt mean he didnt take any risk, that means HES THAT GOOD!! Just deal with it. no matter who u think could've beat Floyd (nobody in my eyes, Cotto 07,08 gets outbxoed easy and prime Pac gets outboxed) he WOULD'VE BEEN A FAVORITE!! So even if u think someboy could've beat him the casinos (they dont like to gvie away money) had him a favorite against every opponent, and yes even Pacquaio. I had bet the fight when most thought it was gonna happen Mayweather -115, Pac -105

    Mayweather for me

Wasnt getting you wrong fella, you seem a more level headed person than most when speaking about this non fight.
Dont like slating boxers,as it can be a life or death sport but the disrespect Mayweather has shown to Manny and fans alike i think Fraud is very apt in this case.I was a fan of his once, but fool me once, shame on me,fool me twice, shame on you and i find it hard to believe the logic used by fanatical Mayweather fans in shifting all the blame to Manny with some unbelievably unrealistic demands.
I just think we have been denied a fight that the sport needed, and deserved and has made a mockery of the game.Although you might disagree,i think Manny would have gave Mayweather loads of problems prime, and i even fancied him to get a decision, and if so imagine if we had 2,3 fights involving the pair but instead i dont think we will ever even see 1.
We were all spoiled with the Hagler,SRL,Hearns and Duran era and domestically here to a lesser extent Benn,Eubank,Collins and Watson and we need a wee spark to generate the casuals more than ever.

Very good post man, fully agree. We were definitely spoiled by the Leonard, Hagler, Hearns and Duran era where fighters always settled things in the ring. Sure, Leonard didn't stall some fighters sometimes(Hearns and Hagler) but he eventually fought them and didn't pick a wrong time to make the fights either considering both were on winning streaks(Hearns undefeated).

Now onto Mayweather, in 2010 I was openly picking Pacquiao to beat Mayweather in a 50/50 SD type of fight. It wasn't going to be one-sided for either fighter. Let's face it, Pacquiao had the tools to bring nightmares for Mayweather's extraordinary fighting style because Pacquiao was extraordinary too. Pacquiao brought serious speed, power in both hands, insane stamina, leg movement, solid chin, insane activity and above all he was a southpaw. This type of style will always trouble someone like Mayweather. Someone that is going to throw all the way, press the attack and rarely pause in the middle of the ring and allow Mayweather to throw and land at will. Mayweather knew Pacquiao was looking ridiculously good in the ring which is why he brought up these comical demands which he later justified by enforcing them against desperate fighters who need the attention/payday like Mosley, Ortiz and so on.

I think Mayweather preferred not taking the risk, even if he knew he would win, to collect easy money fighting opposition he would pick at will.

Pac is not higher than Mayweather. Mayweather has fought the bigger and better guys. Who cared if Pac had fought rematches! He didn't get it done the first time so he needed 2 or 3 or 4 times to do it. Mayweather needs 1 time. Now, do u see the difference?
