Here's an insider answer to your question, Barker's promoter Hearn

When people have nothing, they cry about resume. After GGG cleans out MW, they will cry weak era.

The ones ahead of the curve are already crying weak era.

I hadn't seen this video before, thanks for posting it. This is what all of us who truly follow the sport have been saying for a while in response to the idiots always crying RESUME RESUME in regards to GGG. None of the promoters want to put their fighter in with him unless they get a huge payday because like Hearns said, he's very good and very heavy handed and it's a lot of risk. It's been that way for many years, and it's been that way because those who are in the sport, like the promoters, trainers, and fighters know how good he is. If they were all basing their opinion of GGG on a resume like so many chumps here do, they'd be putting their fighters in the ring with GGG in an instant, but they are smarter than that and they don't. Anyway, GGG is getting close to being able to provide the payday, so we'll see if the promoters put their fighters in the ring.

Yeah everyone is asking for lifechanging money to get in the ring with him, way more than he's currently making, and he's the champ and the featured fighter.

But going off resume is almost always a good policy, in p4p ratings at least. He really shouldn't be p4p without some better wins, even if he might be ability wise. So Lampley is full of ****, what else is new. Though you have a p4per in his division who's just what the doctor ordered, however Sergio's promoter has pretty much conceded the division to GGG and is fully sold on him as a p4p force, much like Barker's promoter. What do they know, though?

no one claims he is the goat.

the guy fights 4x a year.

if he keeps this up, in 3-4 yrs, his resume will look better than floyd :p

    spot on ! :good

Once 3G will have more drawing power and exposure, top MWs will want to fight him. I hope and I'm expecting to see him in 2014 fighting Geale and Murray.

Canelo sooner or later will move @ 160 , so if 3G will be the crowned MW king ( WBC, WBA and Ring titles ) I think this fight eventually will happen ( 3G vs Canelo ) and most probably would be a PPV fight which would make big numbers.

He better clear out top 10's of multiple divisions in that time.

GGG's resume, if I had to name a point to where it probably matched up with Floyd's, I would go with the end of 1998/beginning of 1999... Long ways to go.

I agree regarding the p4p list. I would question anyone with GGG way up their p4p list at this point in time. His lack of wins over top fighters, though no fault of his own, is really the only thing keeping him off the p4p lists. I believe he wins over most top fighters and hopefully he will get at least one top fighter in the ring this year. I look for him to be on his way up the p4p lists by the end of the year.

Yeah. I've thought of this scenario before and could see it happening.

I don't think Maravilla is going to fight GGG on 2014 if HBO does not force it.

I don't want to see Kirkland-GGG because it would be a short fight. I'd prefer to see GGG against a durable big guy as Murray or Caleb Truax. IMO they would put a better fight.

Don't think HBO is going to sacrifice Kirkland, I'd put him against Erislandy Lara or a rematch with Angulo. Kirkland could try to fight Molina or Canelo if he is not tied with HBO.

So being outboxed by Angulo and losing to Molina makes you a favorite against Golovkin...:nut :verysad

One of the dumber things you've posted, unless I didn't pick up on the sarcasm.

Right now, Gennady Golovkin is a hype job much like Arthur Abraham was, and until he faces a legit top contender it will stay that way.
