Pacquiao was 148 lbs and Margarito was 165 lbs during fight night.

The size difference made Manny v Margo interesting and the manner in how he dealt with him more so.Manny took some big shots that night and came firing back whenever he got tagged.
Canelo was a hyped to **** mis-match and its really hard to believe some folk actually took it as a genuine challenge.He suits Mayweather to the ground,plodding and has to save some gas or the tank runs dry early.

 

A lot of people would like to discount this fight in his resume.

Sure we can forget the belt and all, and Margo is nowhere near the top at 154.

But Margo is way too big during the fight while pac is completely undersized.

It's not exactly his best win but still, it was a fight that is far from easy and he needed to rely on all of his abilities to win the fight. In a moment where he lied low, he took a liver shot that might have ruined his organ.

Just for comparison, it is like his rival Floyd, asking a legit but plodding middleweight like Kelly Pavlik fight at a 165 lb catchweight. But Floyd still weighed in at 158 lbs.

 

Canelo had a title and a LICENSE...plus he was undefeated.

Tony had been totally destroyed by Shane and was languishing in mexico until Pac's master Arum pulled some strings to make the farce possible.

 

That's still better than a Margarito totally destroyed by Mosley.

 

Comparable wins both tainted slightly by the catchweights.

I'm hesitant to say Manny's was better based on the fact that Margarito had been TKO'd by Mosley before winning a 10 round decision. Although, Manny deserves full respect for winning the fight the way he did (regardless of the circumstances).

It's easier to say canelo was just over-hyped because Floyd was just that much better than him (how often do fighters actually look good vs floyd?). It may very well be canelo turns out to be a hype job; only time will tell - we can't make that claim because he lost to the p4p no. 1 at age 24. Instead of saying Canelo was bad, we should praise floyd.
