you are clueless. Punches with smaller gloves are harder to block and to see. This is the reason for higher KO rates. Heavier gloves were introduced to reduce concussion rates and prevent brain damage.

The size difference is too much.

Not to mention the significant amount that boxing has come on since Louis' day, the training, tactics and skill levels are massively different.

You could maybe give Louis a punchers chance, but that chance would be remote!

Gloves are for the protection of a fighters hands. And anyone who has fought before can verify getting hit with a 16oz glove rattles your brain as much as an 8oz glove.

You are aware that some of Louis' opponents, for title fights even, had records such as 3-3-0 and another opponent had 38 losses?

Imagine how badly certain people would be pissing and moaning about the heavyweight division if Klitschko fought the exact same opponents in the "Bum of the Month Club".

"Skill levels"? I just watched superstar Broner being belted by a wild punching Maidana! Skill levels haven't improved at all. Louis has a far better skill set than Vlad, an excellent but one dimensional fighter. Hell Lennox Lewis could do more than Vlad!

Im amazed at the number of people picking Wlad here.
The bigger gloves, to a point, actually cause MORE damage to the brain, not less.
Also these two fighting with Louis plucked straight out of the '30s to now is not a fair comparison, tho I would still go with Louis by KO.
If you move Louis up to now, hes probably 6'3, 230 easy with todays training methods and the evolution of men. I know boxing has wt classes, but heavyweight has a limitless upper limit, so the discussion of size does matter.
Or you could take Klitschko back to the 30's where hes 6'3, 230 in stead of his current size.
If you are going to give him credit for his current size, you have to do the same to Louis to make it a fair comparison.
However, that being said, Ill still take Louis by KO regardless of size. He was a more skilled boxer, hit very hard, and I believe he would have reached Wlads chin.
This is all opinion, but Ill go with one of the 3 greatest heavywieghts ever.

Louis is "more skilled" because his opponents had 3-3-0 records and records with double digit losses on them. His opponents couldn't cut as sparring partners today.

That's because he fought many more times and opponents. He gave everybody a shot. No, I believe hes more skilled based on actually watching his fight films and studying the writings and opinions of many others. Obviously, no one can ever be right here, as it is only conjecture. But that is how I see it. Wlad has become a jab and hold fighter, and when he opens it up, he opens up his very suspect chin,
