I know i wish he would wake up and smell the coffee and leave his cheer leader lol in regards to a promoter surely eddie would be interested? Bet he wish he wasnt so fast to leave Warden now but i wonder if Warden would have him back as he is obv still on good terms with mcdonnel as he signed george keane?:huh
Why do you think Hennesey is so poor at putting on good shows and delivering big fights? In the last 2 and half years he has had tv rights, he has put on around 15 shows which have had coverage on ch5 and the only half decent fights i can remember were Fury v Chisora, Fury v Cunningham (which wasnt his) and Galahad v Dickens? Some of the bumfights on his cards are ridicolous yet a decent pro like Lenny Daws gets no coverage.
I've no idea to be honest. Assume it all comes down to money. You'd think being on terrestrial TV he'd have the perfect platform to garner interest around his fighters, but clearly not. To be honest I am surprised Tyson sticks with him, he would be an absolute star on Sky and make fortunes (if he was good enough).
Degale style is all wrong for Froch so it would be another 8 or 9 rounds of beating before he finally walks through him. Although i don't think Degale is capable of a Groves performance
Froch struggles v speed as you saw with Dirrell and Groves. If they fight, because of the Groves fight they wouldn't use Froch's warrior reputation and have an early controversial stoppage. Degale would use his speed and angles to earn a UD whilst surviving the odd scare in rounds. Froch has been over-hyped by Sky into a machine when he's not. He is tough as nails, has a ATG Chin and a great jab. But he is so easy to hit and can be easily outboxed. Problem is he usually turns the fight into a brawl. Groves was showing how easily he can be beat, but sadly Groves got caught up in it and started to fight Froch's fight :/
Quick, mobile southpaw Bute got smashed and he was more proven and looked more impressive than Degale. Degale also doesn't look as good as Dirrell either and Dirrell still lost. Just thought I'd mention that.
I dont think Frochs jab is actually all that if you look at what he does with his right hand when he throws it, its **** poor technique from a three time world champion. People also forget degale is actaully faster then groves although groves is the better fighter by far atm
Hennessey isn't poor at putting shows on its just that it's all about dates these days with the tv and although Channel 5 do boxing they are reluctant to part with the cash and do a lot of shows. I'm sure Mick would do a show every month or so if he had the choice. He has done well to get that contract and i wouldn't say he was poor at his job because Mick took Froch and Witter to the title and he has got a good relationship with the the WBC. He has always got his fighters tv and done some good tv deals down the road with Ch 5, Itv 4 and Primetime. Mick was also co-promoter of the Fury-Cunningham fight and he has got DeGale a eliminator for the WBC with Marco Periban to fall back on if he cant secure him a title shot.
Would love to this this happen. I think DeGale stops Froch mid fight. On my score card DeGale won the fight with Groves but my heart was glad they gave it to Groves. If DeGale hadn't been such an embarrassment in the build up that fight he would have probably got the win imo.
degale would beat froch he never lost to groves he was the champion groves ran didn't do enough to take his title but i think degales trainer cost him the fight giving it to much large
Always wondered this why did Groves stand and trade with Froch (which ultimately lost him the fight ) but did not do that with Degale who doesn't hit as hard as Froch
