It was slightly more acute than a "swollen eye" i was starting to see sense in some of your comments, but your starting to undo all the good work with comments like that.

Where do I not make sense, let's take Floyd, and some of his most competitive fights. First, the shot that Shane landed on him, had it closed like that would you call it freak just cuz it was Floyd? Cotto, the jab that busted his nose, had it landed to the eye and close...freak just cuz it's Floyd??, the numerous jabs De La Hoya landed on him just so happen to be the eye, closed, and still freak just cuz it's Floyd? Nope this is boxing, these guys are humans fighting other professional fighters with the intent of hurting of you...by God it actually happen. smh.

Did Danny swell up any of his other opponents eyes like that? Yeah these things happen but rarely and quite randomly. It was unlucky for Matthysse that whatever it was that caused the swelling caused so much damage in such an important area.

Danny didn't intentionally cause the swollen eye.
Eye injuries of that nature are far from common.
Shane (one of my favourite fighters) only landed half a dozen clean shots on Floyd, so yes it would have been "lucky".

Danny intended to hurt him as most do, you don't see a KO, or TKO in every fight either, so what's your point??
And who would plan on swelling an eye, you're just trying to win the fight on out hurting your opponent, if you win by KO'ing, TKO'ing, or cause a situation favorable to you by doing on what you intended to do in hurting your opponent, it's not luck.

My point is that Danny was fortunate, had he not closed Matthysse's eye, i believe he would have lost the fight.
Most eye injuries are due to cuts, and although cuts will impair the fighter, swelling from damage that doesn't bleed, seriously impairs vision.

Your still ignoring that Lucas was not impotent, matter of fact, he landed his best punch of the fight due to his conservation of energy during the eye swelling. You're also ignoring, that Danny got him to change game plan which lead to the eye swelling in the first place, Danny created his favorable opportunity by being the better boxer, and yet you still call it luck...

Unfortunately I'd have to disagree Lucas never changed tact (unless extremely subtle) he may have changed pace at moments but his strategy was predictable and stayed pretty static start to finish. His lack of wrinkle and layers in his overall fight game is what caused him to lose. Lucas is a dynamic offense machine similar to Tito Trinidad with even more nuance but highly predictable with his approach (flaw número UNO)

Danny himself wouldn't even bealive the **** your saying man it wasn't from a punch as video shows so it was a form of luck because Danny didn't mean to do it.

There's a reason his dad and him don't fancy a rematch because lighting doesn't strike twice in the same spot
