It should have been Stevenson or Kovalev

They probably didn't pick them because they're bad role models or some bs

Adonis the pimp and Kovalev the killer

but better GGG than Floyd anyway

**** Mayweather, the Canelo fight alone ain't enough to make him FOTY and I give him zero points for fighting Bumrrero

    He is exciting to watch.
His fights end in devastating fashion.
Macklin dropped Martinez who was lucky to win.
    Martinez wont fight him.
Steven got wrecked and was one tough nut.
    He is up there.
    Definately not disgusting.
    He is a middleweight.
    Kovalev, Stevenson. Mayweather are not.
Even thou he probably "Good-Boys" those guys.
You gotta be jealous or something.
    Disgusting ???
You probably got him mixed up with your Mother !!!

Golovkin doesn't deserve it by any stretch, but I think that was the Ring's fan poll anyways.

Stevenson doesn't deserve it either though. He was just an opportunist. His win over Boone means little, it was supposed to be an easy fight. And then he fights Dawson when Dawson's coming off a stoppage loss, Cloud after he was exposed twice by Campilo and Hopkins, and Bellew was a so-so mandatory.

I feel the rightful fighter of the year is Rigondeux. I don't rate his Agbeko fight much, but beating Donaire soundly was the most meaningful victory of the year. Go with quality and not quantity.

    Ree-Gon-Do.

It's quite close to NBA failure "Antoine Rigaudeau".

Even so, would you expect a #9 SMW to get that done in a year? 3 of those guys were legit top 10 LHW

Once again the Golovkin haters prove their lack of observational powers in not being able to even differentiate RING official awards, from a poll on ringtv.com website.

    Bradley was clear choice imo.

Definitive win over ATG Marquez, and win over other elite fighter Provodnikov.

Golovkin, however, can be commended for fighting four times in the year.

EDIT: Actually, Rigondeau would have been another good candidate.

please let's not talk about Ward and his affection for man hugs, and then jumping out of the break with wild hooks, like a *****.

Alvarez appeared to be the same size (just a bit fatter than Floyd) except he has a shorter reach than Floyd.

And Floyd "Queen of the Catchweights" Floyd had him at a catch weight.

Floyd has mainly fought smaller guys like JMM, Hatton and Guerrero. He's never fought a single opponent with longer arms than himself.

He won't fight Erislandy Lara next. Wait and see, he'll get some little super lightweight like the chinny Amir Khan to move up to welterweight.
