Well, obviously Khan has to raise his game if he is to face Floyd. No way he can deliver another Diaz performance, that goes without saying. I for one believe he has the potential to perform significantly better than that night.

I think Porter and Khan, both might've underestimated Diaz and looked bad in the process but that's unlikely to happen when the P4P#1 awaits you. I just expect Khan to bring his A game into the fight and box with confidence like he did against Judah. Rewatch that fight, it was a pretty insane performance really.

Floyd is surely no light hitter but out of caution, he doesn't commit to his punches and is content with just scoring which might benefit Khan's high speed glass cannon style. We'll see. A focused Khan survived 12 rounds against Maidana - I expect him to be equally focused against Floyd so I don't think this fight would end within the distance.

A fight being a complete mismatch doesn't necessarily need to end in two or three rounds, ever witnessed complete one-sided shut-outs?. Mayweather was actually aggressive against Ortiz from the start of the fight but constantly adapts to confuse and disarm opponents. This will be a one-sided affair with Mayweather either stopping Khan in the mid or late rounds or it will be a one-sided UD for Mayweather. I will be beyond shocked if Khan makes it competitive with his basic and predictable fighting style. Do you even know what Khan's latest improvement and addition to his fighting style is?, holding when hurt. Seriously man, this fight will be so one-sided it won't even be funny. Khan's very own trainer a month ago said that Khan is in for a rude awakening if he decides to fight Mayweather. Only lately has he been changing his tune as the fight is obviously becoming a reality for the attention the "Full Access" episodes will provide.

He will surely bring his A game for this one and the only difference will be his conditioning, which means he will most likely take punches better early but slowly fade as the fight goes on as usual. Don't expect him to completely improve and change his style in three months of training camp. He may come far better conditioned than ever but the fighting style will remain the same because that's how he fought his entire career.

Ok we'll see scar let's end this conversation here because clearly we won't agree and we'll discuss the performance post fight if indeed the fight happens. I'm willing do make a bet with you that the fight will be more competitive than the Guerrero, Ortiz or canelo fight?

No one here in the UK thinks Khan will win, people will watch the fight because people want to see him get ktfo.

I think that people are selectively forgeting the Diaz fight. Khan looked shot to me. Almost every shot was hurting him and he looked stuck between styles. Floyd confuses even the most deterimed fighters that have a clear game plan. Khan will look like a fool in the ring and will get KOed eventually. Rios was a better opponent but style wise he was really made to make Pac look good so it wasn't really a more competitive match up.

I actually don't think that Mayweather vs. Khan fight is that bad. There are 3-4 fights for Floyd I'd like to see rather than this one, but really isn't not worse than either Guerrero or Ortiz fight.

Lara is the guy who deserves the fight and I believe that he is capable of defeating Floyd, unlike the most of the other fighters recently who were mostly surrounded by hype and had a huge support. Unfortunately, Lara doesn't receive a lot of attention, but I'm sure that even Floyd is aware that there is no harder opponent for him to beat at 154 than Lara. I hope that he'll step up and get this fight made.

Other than Lara (an of course Pacquiao, which is very unlikely to happen) I see Tim Bradley as the most obvious option. However, Bradley will likely fight Pacquiao, Marquez or Provodnikov next, so Mayweather vs. Bradley obviously won't happen now, but I'd like to see it down the road if Bradley manages to stay undefeated.

So yeah, excluding all of those guys, Khan would be the fight to make. Although Danny Garcia may be a more deserving challenger, I honestly don't see Danny competitive, while Khan could make it tough because of his speed. Of course, Floyd would be the huge favorite, but at least it would be a change from his recent fights where he usually fought pretty limited guys without much speed.

Overall, I don't see Mayweather vs. Khan as a great match-up, but as an ok fight.

Funny that people are comparing Floyd/Khan to Pac/Rios.

The Rios fight was Pac's return to the ring after being KTFO cold for 2 minutes.

Meanwhile, Floyd is P4P #1, supposedly "TBE", fighting a guy who's not even a legit titleholder @ welter and was getting KTFO by dudes at 140 as recently as a year ago. What the hell has Khan done to deserve that shot? It's a joke. There are so many more worthy opponents than Khan.

Why don't you view my other posts before making claims like that?

Everything I wrote up there is exactly how I think about the situation. If I was here to defend Floyd, I wouldn't have said that Floyd needs to step up to Lara who I feel would very possibly defeat him. Sometimes figure something out yourself before accusing others of some ridiculous stuff.

its is not too far worse than guerrero/ortiz because they are same level, berto level, except that khan is featherfisted with glass jaw.
