I think he could dominate at 168, he was beating froch untill that joke stoppage, and whilst froch was having a good round, I think Groves would of gone on to win...

Is he the new torch bearer for British boxing?

I still think his chin is a little suspect,he has all the tools other than that to be top of the division but that's only if Andre Ward decides to move up in weight.

Second to Ward at 168. If Ward moves up he'll dominate the division for years to come.

If Groves would have gone on to win,why did he turn away to initiate the ref stopping the fight

Stamina over the final 3 is the biggest worry imo, his chin seems alright, not granite but certainly not glass

He's being overrated to be completely honest, for all we know his performance against Froch could have been due to Carl's arrogance before the fight and refusing to take George seriously, we won't know till the rematch. His chin is still questionable, he got hurt bad by Anderson and even got stunned by Degale. Andre Ward stops him no question, Bika is a harder fight than people think and if his stamina is not improved for that fight I could see Bika shocking him. I don't think he's the future of the 168 division, he will win a world title though. Callum Smith is the future of 168lbs.

Frochs reluctance for a rematch seems to indicate he doesn't just feel like he did not prepare properly, the rematch is the fight the public and his own fans want to see. He wants the big fight in vegas, his name up in the lights and if he were to lose to Groves it would threaten that.

I would pick him against anyone in the division tbh, not many people at all will agree but I think he has the tools to beat ward, and Groves vs Bika would be a brilliant fight.

Best in Britain as far as I'm concerned - although I suppose we'll never find out for sure at this moment in time as long as Froch keeps running from the rematch.

    - Solid Jab
    - Has dynamite in his right hand
    - Can hold the centre of the ring or box on the back foot
    - Good movement
    - Quick hands and feet
    - Can stick to a game plan

Certainly has all the tools for me, 2014 should and will be a big year for him.

I agree! Froch was very insecure coming into the Groves fight and now we know why as he isn't even entertaining the thought of a rematch.

I think his jab is one of the best in boxing right now...fast accurate and packing some serious mustard

I don't understand why people think Groves has the style to beat Ward, when Ward takes away the right hand and starts to smother Groves on the inside it will be a long night and he will be stopped on cuts imo.

I think he's very good. Will be one of the top guys at 168 for the next few years.
