Give me Bobby on his Slow Katcher form.
Dick Young called him the New Toy Bulldog for good reason.

Kockel had a better heavyweight resume as far as wins and may have been in some tougher middleweight fights but I think Czyz trumps Kockel as a light heavy

Bobby Czyz for me, I followed him closely in the 80s, he was all over the boxing press. Pushed up in weight too fast I think or he could have been a long term champ at 168 then 175 and he really didn't need to go any heavier. Better than lalonde and he knocked over 2 unbeaten gold medallists, there were good fights for him.
I think with better career management Czyz would have been a more remembered champion.

Czyz had better skills, and he really wasn't a top level fighter.

168 for Bobby is right on. He was made for the Division.

****ell had big weight problems as a light heavy some kind of glandular condition.Beat Harry Matthews 3 times and Roland LaStarza to earn his shot at Marciano and showed unbelievable courage in their against The Rock, kept firing back despite basically being brutalised legally and illegally!
Head to head I think he beats Czyz.

Bobby up to 175; but then Don was the better once you go above the Light Heavy limit.

Kockell did have better wins as a heavyweight and he looked good in winning, Don was not as bad they say and had tremendous heart, Czyz best fight at Heavyweight was the Evander Holyfield loss just before EH fought Tyson.

C ockell was excellent, a very good basic boxer always willing to mix it and he proved himself against a right good few top notch fighters. He just wasn't a proper heavyweight, that in its self tells his story.

Lots of people say he could have won a world title at Light Heavyweight!
