Sure but that doesn't make the belt illegit? I mean Gatti was probably worse at 140, but nobody is saying Floyd has no belts at 140. By that token Guerrero is a 0 division titlist.

Also remember Diaz stopped Santa Cruz, who then went on to humiliate lineal champ Casa in robbery of the century

 

Ok. So the belt was a legit belt just the way it was setup by the WBC was shady. If what you say is true, I can't say I disagree. Sounds like there was some playing fast and loose with the rankings. Although it happens a lot with committees deciding rankings and not a hard-set criteria for rankings. The committees do strange stuff all the time bumping people up the list for politics rather than merit. Who knows what happened behind the scenes. I still give PAC-man credit for it.

 

The belt is legit but its the kind on nonsense that allows fighters to claim to be multi-division champions when in reality if they had to face the lineal champ in the division they would not be or in a more likely scenario would stay in the same division longer.

 

I get that. Still it was a perfectly legit ABC belt he won at that weight. Look at Cotto: vacant belts vs Pinto, Quintana, Jennings, plus beating weak champ with one good leg. You wouldn't say he's a 0 division champ. Many belts weaker than Pac's 135. Diaz was legit top 5 at 135, and probably no worse than the shot lineal champ Casamayor

 

It can be argued either way I agree which is why you can make a legit argument for Pac being a 8 division champion but also allow guys like rtm32 to troll and make threads like this.
