Floyd has been hit hard by punches, he wasn't braced for and either lost his balance (Judah, Hatton) or was shaken up momentarily (Mosely). But, he has never been layed out on the canvas. It's evidently pretty solid, just in case he needs to rely on it.

Incorrect. Manny was favored in the 8/5 ~ 3/2 range, and the late great Bert Sugar said this is why FMJ got cold feet. The fact that Vegas had Manny winning got to his head.

Floyd used to talk about how it was a no-win for him. He said it a lot, in many different ways, but the theme was that since he was bigger guy and Manny had already had losses in his career he wouldnt get huge credit for a win but everyone wanted to see him lose.

Floyd was not afraid of Manny the "man" but he was obviously concerned about losing his zero. But its whatever. FMJ basically banked on Manny burning out before he did, and the bet paid off.

    This has two results:

    1) FMJ is now undisputed #1 p4p

    2) FMJ will never be a top tier ATG / GOAT because he could have, but did not fight his top career rival.

In the end, arguing over why, or testing, or fault or anything else doesnt matter in the slightest. Fight did not happen, its old news, I dont even care if they do fight anymore. Why anyone still even cares after Manny got distracted by politics and let his boxing game slip to the degree he did is honestly beyond me.

Manny is now much less of a force, and fights under a shot promoter. FMJ is going to avoid Lara and Bradley and any other credible threat to his 0 and finish his career undefeated in the ring fighting on his own terms and noone elses. And boxing will be better for it when he does retire.

floyd would shoot himself in the foot to avoid possibly losing his zero in the ring.

Nah, I dont care that much. Let Pac suffer with his fans. Money's still winning.

He's my favorite fighter so I'll pay whether its Pac or Khan or Maidana. I dont care, I just want to see him perform.

    oh ya,
anyone that needs to ask about floyds chin in obviously some one who just started watching boxing and has NO IDEA what a good bad or great chin is.

most of you clowns think fighter (tito) knocked down by balance shots thinks he has a bad chin. get a clue, i have seen tito hurt 2 (TWO) times. once against hops and once against rjj.

floyd has been stung by corley and if you wanna say judah go ahead but he was NEVER hurt vs zab, but he was briefly hurt vs ssm. ssm hit him with 2 of his very best shots and shots floyd didnt expect or even see and never went down, thats a phukin chin. by the end of the round ssm was hurt not floyd

lmao, mosley was roided to the boness and took gazilions of punches, an obviously distracted margo never went down.

2yrs and 2 camps later, unroided granpa, gassed after 3 rounds, with snail mail punches almost killed floyd.

    definition of glass chin.

"Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have already booked a date to settle the score once and for all. According to a source close to situation, the megabuck showdown between Money May and the Pacman will finally take place in September 2014 after several failed attempts to arrange the biggest match in boxing history."

"Youtube Boxing channel 78Sports TV reported that the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao showdown is already a done deal. The source, who disclosed insider's information about Mayweather's upcoming fights with Robert Guerrero and Saul Canelo Alvarez before these bouts were actually announced, indicated that Money May has already agreed to terms with Pacquiao.
"Great news in the world of boxing. He [the source] is telling me that Floyd and Manny Pacquiao will be fighting in 2014 guaranteed and it's already done," the 78Sports anchor said in his 16-minute commentary on Youtube. "Everything else that you will see will be just theatrics from here on out. But the fight is already done"

Remember guys this is not coming from me, I cannot post links of the source due to membership timeframe, but if you want to read more, just google it.

The posters here who say that Manny does not stand a chance against Floyd Mayweather obviously do not know anything about Mayweather's performance against southpaws.
For instance, some of them would say that Mayweather has never been hit to the head cleanly before. Now I ask you, did you see Mayweather vs. Judah and Mayweather vs. Chop-Chop Corley, or Mayweather-Castillo I?
I'm asking you this because these 3 gave Mayweather a lot of trouble. Castillo, who was knocked out by Hatton with a body shot, actually defeated Mayweather the first time they fought at 135 lbs. but he was robbed of victory by the judges. How did Castillo do it? He pressured and crowded and mugged Mayweather from bell to bell. Mayweather was almost knocked out by Chop-Chop Corley at 140 lbs. and Mayweather was knocked down by Zab Judah with a single shot to the head at 147 lbs. During the first five rounds of the fight, Judah was winning because he was faster than Mayweather and punches harder than Mayweather but he lost focus as always, ran out of gas and ultimately lost.
Just in case you don't know, Judah and Corley are both southpaws like Pacquiao, and that is why Floyd Mayweather, Sr. has told Floyd Jr. to stay away from southpaws right after Pacquiao demolished de la Hoya.
