in fairness, I could imagine wlad scoring a knockdown but cant imagine wlad keeping louis down.....I can also imagine louis getting a revenge knockdown and wlad not getting up.
too much emphasis on size.....joe louis was still a big man. (his peak weight just over 200 lbs btw....he purposely cut to under 200 for billy conn and it was a regret of his)

I believe Louis' cumulative opponents had more than +280 defeats than Klitschko's cumulative opponents. They were bums. In fact they were called "The Bum of the Month Club" by sports publications of Louis' era. A one eyed man can rule the kingdom of the blind. Louis had opponents with records of 3-3-0 and 38 defeats challenging Louis for his heavyweight title. I would like to see Klitschko defend his title against opponents and we'll see how people who call the heavyweight division a joke now respond. I'm sure they wouldn't like it, yet the same guys think Joe Louis was great for fighting a bunch of bums. Brian Minto would have been one of Louis' toughest challengers.

Klitschko would expose Louis just like an accomplished top professional exposes newcomers with good looking records built against very shoddy opponents. I doubt if Louis would last 5 rounds.

Of course not! How could Wlad possibly keep Louis down when the great Tony Galento couldn't keep him down! :rofl:rofl:rofl

How could a fighter that fights 80 years in the future possibly knockout a guy from the classic era? It's completely impossible! Why? Because the bums Louis fought couldn't knock him out.

Any modern day HW (Liston, Foreman) would give Louis hell. Any modern day SHW would completely annihilate Louis so embarrassingly onesided that it will look like ****.

6'2" 210. About the same size as Lamon Brewster only harder punching and 10x more skilled.

I doubt Wlad would make it to the fourth like he did with Brewster. Louis was an expert at disposing bigger fighters.

Boxrec, thats how you bozo's determine fights...its laughable. Brewster may have been 10 or 15lbs heavier and wasnt nearly as skilled or as hard hitting. Louis destroyed every big man he ever faced. Wlad was stopped by a guy without louis skills or power. This is a FACT!!

Wlad with 56% of the vote at this stage. He must be making in-roads with message board denizens. A couple years back, Louis used to routinelyget 60-65% of these polls.

Actually on Lamon Brewster website it said 6'2 213 1/2. Basically the size of Joe Louis. Tos Williamson weight 214 in his fight with wlad. So power not size matters. Louis had Power!

You missed his point or more likely ignored it. Brewster was a much stouter physical specimen than Louis. Larger frame with wider shoulders and probably bigger hands, head, neck ect..

In no way can you quantify that Louis hit harder. You are simply being obtuse in synchrony with the niche you have carved out for yourself on here.

And you're obviously to ignorant to realize Louis was the harder puncher and much better fighter. Size doesnt determine this fight, skill does. Louis had an easy time with bigger fighters. Its a proven fact Wlad has lost to fighters around Joe's size who didnt have a drop in the bucket of skills he did. Only nuthuggers try and deny this.

If a bum like Ross Purrity and a member of the PGA:lol: can stop Vlad then ATG Joe Louis could as well.

    Lamon Brewster:rofl
