marquez is smaller, shorter range, slower, orthodox and counter puncher forced to fight offensively. he is tailor made for floyd.

pac is as fast(hand), faster (foot), more explosive power, southpaw, volume puncher and has stamina to fight at high pace for 36mins.

floyd shoulder roll doesnt work against southpaw, so he doesnt wait to counter, and instead he walks down southpaws, or try stand and trade, getting more offensive.

floyd is tailor made for pac.:deal

i would agree with you boxing_master if it was not for the fact he looked very good prior to the knockout he suffered from marquez and looked great against rios.

Well, a rule that doesn't have universal application is a pretty crappy rule isn't it.

 

canelo did 2.2... most people brought that fight thinking floyd finally had a chance of losing... so of course the may-pac megafight will eclipse these numbers because its not just floyd fans and floyd haters buying the fight.. its manny bringing his huge fanbase to the table aswell... it would do around 2.8-3m which is would smash the record if im noit mistaken

 

its def a defining fight for both fighters to have on there resume so of course it will effect his ATG standing. but when you delve into the facts you can see arguments for both fighters ducking each other so it lessens the blow.. still not good for both legacy's or boxing as a whole

it's jsut means that it is not automatic. meaning, you have to put more weight on the styles of the 2 protagonists that are going to face each other.

their previous fights will only give rough idea on how the fight will go, but as i said, it is not automatic.
