I have seen a few interviews with Beltran and he does seem to be misinformed and should have been directing his anger at HIS promotional company. I did laugh when he said he wanted to break Hearn's jaw as Hearn was the one fighting to make the rematch!

Also Solaris why are you still being a total ****? Do you REALLY get so much pleasure from following Billy around and getting him to bite the odd time?

Hearn took full advantage of the perks that go along with being the home town promoter.

It wasn't Ricky or Billy's fault Beltran got stitched up.

A rematch should square up the wrong done to Beltran.

The funny thing is though Sky never jumped to Ricky's defense after Beltran the way did to Froch after the Groves controversy. I mean the week after Froch-Groves on Ringside Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson kept telling everyone and anyone who would listen "It wasn't Carl's fault", but never did they once say that for Ricky Burns :think

I doubt it would bother Ricky I think Billy is just bringing it up as Ricky deserves the same recognition as some of the other guys like Barker McDonell etc Ricky is a 2 weight world champion not many fighters from Britain have done that recently so he deserves a bit of respect and recognition.

Or maybe if you's change your accent

Tell Ricky to look through his family tree because he might have a old English great, great grandmother somewhere

No it doesn't bother him. But he should IMO get the recognition he deserves

True same when McDonnell won his world title he got next to no coverage or regonition from the general sports media. Hall got very little aswell, i suppose some just get it more then others for some reason. Shame really World champions deserve to be known to General sports fans unfortunate that outside of Scotland i doubt Ricky is very well known to the general public.

Why do you think he struggles then to get the recognition? I like darren barker but thought the exposure he got after beating geale was to much when compared to someone such as Burns who is certainly more established as a top end fighter in his division...

    Yes!

I have heard the whole 'because he is Scottish' reason, But I seem to remember Joe calzaghe not doing too bad as a Welshman, admittedly perhaps abit later in his career. I think sometimes, and I mean this respectfully that the blame has to go to the fighter and his team, if he is not getting the exposure that his achievements deserve...

Sometimes you need to blow your own horn abit more and make people take notice.
