I'm asking again. What are we discussing here.

Do we put 195 lbs Louis in a time machine and transport him into a ring? Or do we steal Louis as a 5 year old from the 1910s, transport him into the 1990s, let him develop, train and get educated under modern sport conditions?

I asked this already and got no reply.

Everything I've said is under the assumption we put Louis in a time machine in his prime - after having brought up in the 1920s with classic nutrition, science and training methods.

What Louis could have done if he was born in the 1980s is a whole different ball game. Different thread IMO.

3 of his 4 stoppages came against top 10 fighters who were known for their great power. For him to keep getting back up shows that not only did he not hacve a glass jaw, but that he had immense heart. Primo was not a great fighter by any stretch, but you're selling him way short.

but then its not really a fair comparison you are making, is it? not at all.

If you are asking who was the best boxer based on ability in the ring purely, then you need to eliminate all confounding variables.

I think Louis in a time machine at 195 beats Klitschko.

I think Louis transported to 2013 and given a year to train destroys him.

Louis taken back to birth in 1990's might kill him.

And ALL of this is conjecture Elroy.

So where are the fighters better? You've shown me better sports science and technology, but you haven't shown better fighters. Put everyone on a level playing field and todays fighters are worse because they neglect the skills I've pointed out. Everything you say that makes them better is artificial.

well, yes then of course. stupid question. joe went unbeaten for 11 years including top level opps. wlad gets beat by several journeymen in that time.
    no comparison.

    both are subjective.

I don't think you know what subjective means - objective means removing extenuating variables, which is what I suggested, which you objected to! You've written the opposite of what you mean... man you write so much crap.

quite why I am being drawn into a convo with you I don't know.

Its quite simple...Louis was the faster fighter and the more intelligent fighter. See his fights against all other "super" heavyweights.

When Louis hit you he Hit you! He knocked you out cold and busted your face up and broke ribs. Wheather they wete 270 like Primo....250 like Abe simon or Billy Conn. Byrd went 19 rou nds with wlad...Tos Williamson was another good right hand away from koing wlad and both were small Hws

If size is such a factor you have to wonder how crude DeVarryl Williamson dropped the monstrous Wlad but people think the refined and harder punching Louis couldn't.

You keep saying Wlad wouldn't be "allowed" to KO Louis or Ali because they'd be CWs. Except Wlad DID KO a CW in Mormeck and a LHW in Byrd.
