Who would take this? I think Macklin is a smarter and better boxer but I have a feeling that Stevens would manage to put him away at this point. What do you think?

Good fight... I think Macklin roughs him up to a very close decision win.

Despite Stevens performing better against GGG, Macklin has considerably more big fight experience. This experience would serve him well against someone like Stevens.

I think it is likely that you're right. In fact, whilst I wouldn't necessarily go so far as to say he wins, Stevens is a very real danger to anyone at 160.

Stevens has very quick hands, throws quick flurries and is especially dangerous on the counter or in exchanges. The safest way to fight him would be to keep him at range behind a jab where his size is against him - but given how quick he is, it's likely he's gonna get through at some point.

He's back in action in a few weeks (the 25th I think) against Patrick Majewski who is a solid fighter. I'm looking forward to seeing how he performs in this fight and if the Golovkin loss has taken anything outta him - but although Majewski can box I'm thinking it likely that Curtis has him outta there before the half-way point.

Stevens by a late KO. I don't know how many middleweights have faster hands than him at the moment.

If, however, he gets in a knife fight, he loses by KO.

This would be a good fight. I think Stevens has more potential. If the fight was tomorrow Macklin may well edge out the UD , but if fight was in 6-8 months / a couple training camps later I think Stevens will surpass him.
