As much as I disagree with you, I gotta agree with this. You can tell from how Golovkin looks now from his fight against Proksa that their intentions are moving up. He looks a lot fuller now then he used to. It's becoming clear that moving down isn't their intention unless he were to get a Floyd fight, which I never actually cared or wanted to happen (regardless of who I felt would win). It will only make it harder for GGG to come down in weight at that point. He will eventually move up. The not a full MW argument coming from people isn't a good one.

Pibb just trolling ya. Watch the fight again - I think GGG does it twice in the fight, and it's not a habit - watch, he found himself overextended and vulnerable and prioritised getting out of the danger zone over getting his hands up - may well have been the best choice against a guy with quicker hands than him. Not only that, but as he backs off at speed he's also twisting to present one shoulder after the other.

There's a decent video study kicking around about Golovkins defensive technique I think its the AMSB one but it ain't working for me right now...

    Google - Stevens Golovkin AMSB.

Yeah - that much is quite clear - he's a MW who would drop the 6lbs if the money made it worthwhile (probably meaning Pac, Floyd or Nelo). They've made it clear that the intention is an eventual move up to 168, but understandably, and correctly IMO, they don't want him to be bouncing up and down between the divisions. When he moves up to 168 the intention is for it to be permanent - though obviously he'd come back down if the money was right.

Oh, I don't doubt its probably an exaggeration.

I think Triple G had some rough patches against Stevens but in a fight he was dominating and using a guy like a punching bag, you are going to see some lapses. At some points he dropped his hands and got into unnecessary exhanges just to get Stevens out of his shell.

Yeah that's why I want him to get the shot at Martinez. Those who say he should go up and fight Ward before doing that are just annoying. I know it's because a lot of GGG fans saying he would beat Ward and all that, but still, it's irresponsible to fight Ward, then come back down to hopefully fight Martinez. They know jumping divisions isn't smart, they just want the hype to stop.

    Dominating who exactly?

Didn't he LOSE to Morales during that 10 years of "dominating"? And lets not pretend as if the de la Hoya fight and the Mayweather ducking didn't happen...

The only thing Golovkin is "champion" of is paper. Martinez is the champion @ 160 until he loses or retires.

Then let him go down to 154 and campaign there. Lots of good fights for him @ 154...

Martinez' promoter disagrees, he's already crowned him:

Maybe you should LEARN HOW TO READ.

Do you know what a "successor" is, Genius?

    Has Martinez retired yet?

Like I said, the ONLY thing Golovkin is "champion" of is paper....

He can't go any further if the champ's promoter is **** scared like that. Remember Lewkowicz said GGG should fight Stevens to qualify for Sergio.
