I'd say Mayweather. I think Mayweather had him badly hurt in the second round after the knockdown. He could have probably stopped him in the late rounds, but was obviously playing it safe. If he went for it, the referee probably would have waived it off. What do you guys think? Marquez has had a lot of fights, so I feel there is no need for a poll. I want to hear your insights.
Who is to say Mayweather wouldn't have got ko'd trying to ko marquez... similar to what happened to pacman
It's all hypothetical but he may have been on his way to a TKO loss if his KO6 punch hadn't landed in Pac 4, as he had a bloody nose, concussion and had suffered one knockdown. Also in the first round of the 1st Pac fight after being down 3 times, if he had been knocked down one more time or if there was more time left in the round, the ref may have thought to stop it, although he wasn't hurt too much. I don't think he was close to being KO'd by Mayweather to be honest.
Pacquiao 1 sounds right to me. A different, more cautious ref (re: Froch-Groves) might have actually stopped the fight after the third knockdown and it would have gotten some grumbles, but little outrage. That was probably the closest of the fights I've seen
You mean the fight when Marquez came up from 135 to a weight he had NEVER fought at and Mayweather didn't even make the weight? Get real, *****. :rofl
If the 3 knockdown rule was in effect, the first Pac fight. Other than that, he's never came close to being stopped. This is just Mayweather hugging, and a bizarre way to go about it. The man has enough real achievements as is.
He was def hurt in the last Pacqiao fight and no wonder he doesnt want any more. I remember that he was also hurt against Barrera even though he won that fight quite clearly.
