I'm sure you'll have a great time with your son, laffie! This is the kind of event that your son will never forget... it will be such a strong emotion... and he will always associate it with you - well played, Sir! :)

Pascal is a better fighter than I gave him credit for when he was preparing to fight Froch. He is also quite a likeable character. It's not easy to have a settled identity as a black Haitian Quebecois entertainer... and it is easy to see why he has made PR mistakes in the past, but I believe he is a good guy too. Perhaps Bute is not quite as nice as some of us thought he was... hmmm...

I have to be honest and say that I would be a little bit happy for Pascal if he wins, because he has always lived in Bute's shadow. I did not like at all the way Bute was rubbing it in Pascal's face how much more popular he was in Quebec - just the kind of thing that Quebecois hate and this is not the reason why people liked Bute in the first place - quite the contrary...
From the way Bute has reacted so emotionally and confidently in his last couple of press conferences and talk shows, I conclude he may not be there psychologically anymore... I take it as a bad sign... as a sign of delusion.

We'll see. I just hope Bute doesn't end up a bitter and twisted fighter who continues to feast on past glories while losing/performing badly, but who continues to fight and fight because he is looking to win back the adulation of the crowds...

Shoutout to Fightfan of Mtl! How are you, mon ami? :)

I have a feeling Bute realises this is do or die for him and goes in with the same kind of mentality that Froch had against Bute. In that case, whoever wins, the people watching will definitely win!

Enjoy, wherever you are watching it!:good

Bute's father, a simple and humble guy, makes me think Lucian will not have that kind of career ending.

As for Pascal, I think he is a very good guy but he keeps thinking he has to trash talk and provoke to sell tickets. He wants to play the Mayweather or Hopkins game but it's not his style and people in Quebec are different than in the USA.

For the moment, boxing fans are split between both fighters but the majority think Pascal will win.

Is this the first time Bute is the underdog ? Was Bute the favorite in the Andrade rematch?

I'm pretty sure Bute was the betting favorite in their rematch.

Of course he was, he dominated all the first Andrade fight but collapsed in the final round due to fitness.

    *Fatigue

And his punch resistence is very suspect, he was breaking badly in the first Andrade bout.

I think it was slight favorite against Andrade II, I just didn't checked the odds back then. It must have been like he was against Froch 1.65 or 1.70 favorite.

Who cares, The guy's not perfect nor is he the best. He's a class act with a lot of courage... I wish him the best. Very skilled fighter, and when his confidence is on par, he's a very good fighter.
