Definitely. In a way, it may help him. He has to conquer something, not just defend his belt one more time.

You are right in a way. Pascal has wins against Dawson, who had taken Pascal by far too easily and came in a bad physical and psychological condition. His next best win is Diaconu, not a very good one. He has a draw against Hopkins but didn't look great in that fight. More, Pascal looks bad against journeymen, like in his 2 last fights.

In another way, he never lost badly. once to Froch in a close fight. Another time against Hopkins, who is already a legend. Pascal is at his best when the opposition is strong. I think we will see the best version of him.

There's no way Bute can keep Pascal of him in the first 4-5 rounds , It will require a perfect footwork and unleashing a barrage of hits to keep him at bay and even so there will be certain points where Jean will catch up with him, so I'm curious if Bute has a punch, that can make Pascal more cautious in his attacks. Because if he doesn't then it will be a short night for Bute. I really think Bute needs to hurt Pascal with something early, a counter, a well placed hook, his uppercut, a short two punch combo that Jean will walk into, something so this fight can get to the 7th-8th round were Bute will start to dominate. And there's also a chance Pascal shoulder pop's out again. How many times was already? 2 or 3 ? Against Diaconu, Kuziemski.. was it hurt in other fights to?
You know what would be surprising, a strategy that will neutralize Pascal's strength's. As for example I would like to see Bute walking down Pascal into a corner, pushing him into the ropes with fast punches and closing fast and furiously immediately after a good shot gets in. A bit like in the Zuniga fight. It will take away Pascal's most dangerous weapon, the leap in straight right and it will force him to fight at a very high pace, that will empty his tank faster.

Bute is too inactive and unproven. He got blown out in his only test, one which Pascal performed well in when he fought Froch.

Pascal KO. Bute struggled with Grachev ffs.

I don't think Pascal will come out like crazy in this one. If he does and doesn't get Bute out of there he will be in trouble in the second half of the fight.

I think they will try to get Bute to be the agressor in the fight, he's not confortable in that role. Bute likes to wait and counter. He's always had good fights against guys who walk in to him except for the Froch fight. Bute wasn't ready for Froch talking his shots and still coming forward...

If Bute can avoid most of the looping right hands and Pascal's quick outbursts we will have a good 12 round fight and a UD/SD win for Bute.

If Bute's mind isn't ''set'' on fighting we will know very soon and this will be a quick one.

Well put. I also think Pascal won't go crazy. He said recently he wouldn't fight like Froch because he is not Froch and mentioned he doesn't have Froch's long arms.

Big deception this morning. Eleider Alvarez-Thomas Oosthuize, the semi-final has been canceled. oosthuizen, who was going up in weight, was too heavy to fight at LHW. His promoter even fired him. What an idiot.

    Watch your tongue, ***.

You never know in what disputes these fighters are with their promotors/management team.
There might be an underlying reason as to why this happened, but be sure to respect the fighters.

It's all about punch resistance for Bute. Simple as that... how is he gonna handle getting hit.

Keep in mind he took intense punishment from Froch and took it pretty well if you ask me! I do not see Pascal putting up the same pressure.

I swear I was thinking the same today. It could look like Bute versus Zuniga.

Ok for Dawson (even if he was not well prepared) but Diaconu was not a good champion. The belt was dropped by Dawson and he got it against Chris Henry, who gave him lots of trouble.

HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! Honey, call the ambulance, I can't breathe anymore!

Bute's number 1 hater telling me not to call Oosthuizen an idiot. Like if you were respecting fighters. HA! HA! HA! HA! You are as funny as stupid. All the **** you have spread is coming back to your face. It doesn't smell good, does it?

First, Bute has dedicated his life to boxing. Oosthuizen has not. Read a bit about him before being mad at me. It is not the first time he's a ****. I've seen promoters being patient with their fighters but I've never seen a promoter firing a fighter for nothing. Fighters bring them money. Hello, is there a brain under that skull?

I bought 2 expensive tickets and I have the right to be mad because the card is becoming ****.
