This is the silliest sh.it I've ever seen in my life. Golovkin will *never* be "on par" with Ward no matter who he fights and beats @ 160 short of Alvarez or Mayweather - and neither of those fights are happening anytime soon.

This is a DUCK and it's clear as day. They want nothing to do with Ward...

Wards beaten the likes of Kessler, Froch, Dawson, Bika, Abraham.......GGG's biggest win has to be Proska and thats it.........I don't know why people want to push GGG into one of the best & hardest fighters to beat in Ward now.......he will get schooled imo......Martinez, Sturm, Geale, Quillan there's some good fights there to be made for GGG.

So by your logic then, we could also say Mayweather is ducking GGG because he won't move up a weight class and fight someone? I don't think Money is ducking GGG any more than I think GGG is ducking Ward.

People generally don't move up a weight class until they have accomplished their goals at their current weight class, be it to win a title, to win the lineal title, etc. What's the big deal is both camps want to make 5-times the money by waiting a year and a half? It's called smart business. No can find you a video where Ward says the fight doesn't make sense at this point, but could be a huge PPV fight down the road. Boxing is a business. Why burn the fight now on regular HBO for so-so money, when it could be a PPV fight making 5-times the cash? As usual good business and logic eludes you. Both camps want to wait for money reasons.

There's nobody for Golovkin to fight @ 160. There is a good possibility that Marinez will lose to Cotto - and you best believe if Cotto wins, he won't be looking @ Golovkin. If Martinez wins, he'll probably need to fulfill a mandatory, recover from an injury or retire. Either way, Golovkin ain't getting a shot @ the 160 title in 2014. Not gonna happen.

That said, I don't know how much more bargaining power Golovkin's handlers think they can gain in any future fight with Ward by fighting the Osumanu Adama's and Curtis Stevens' of the world. Maybe they need to start looking @ a Carl Froch or George Groves...

Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 175 or he would go down to 168 , but Ward does not want to fight him. Stevenson knocked Dawson out in one round, something Ward could not do to a weight drained Dawson. Ward could also move up and fight Kovalev, but he will not. Golovkin has still not been able to get Quillin, Martinez, Geale, Murray, Sturm into a ring and those are all good money fights that people want to see. Golovkin is not stupid enough to go into Ward's home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, commentators, etc. Golovkin could go down to 154 and fight Void, but Void will not fight him. Void will not fight Martinez at 154 either. As a matter of fact, Void will not fight Pac, which would be a super fight for huge dollars, so instead Void will fight Khan for less money. If Golovkin is expected to go up 8 lbs. to another division, then Ward should be expected to go up 7 lbs. and fight Stevenson or Kovalev. If Ward is so good, perhaps he should fight Vladimir Klitschko for a huge super fight?

Don't play dumb. Golovkin's handlers are on record saying they'd fight anyone from 154-168. We've seen Golovkin fight the 154lb'ers. We're still waiting on the 168 part. I haven't heard Mayweather call out any 160lb'ers. Have you? I didn't think so....

Right, and exactly WHO is Golovkin gonna fight in the next 12 months that would put him "on par" with Ward? Osumanu Adama? Lol..

Yes. They said that, but they didn't say they would do it on your schedule. They will do it when it makes business sense.

He's already ahead of Ward in viewer numbers and television ratings, moron, which is what we are talking about here: money and numbers. It's Ward who needs a rating boost to be "on par" with GGG. They want to give Ward time to get his numbers up, just as they want to get their own numbers up, which is why they're waiting until next year.

As to who GGG can fight to boost ratings and money: Sergio, Sturm, Geale, even Murray... Anyone who is not brain dead could figure that out.

Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, he said he would fight Ward at 175 or at 168, yes, and Ward will not even fight him at 168!

According to your logic, Marvin Hagler should be wiped off the boxing records, since he fought his entire career as a middleweight. Golovkin said he would fight Ward in the future, but he wants to fight the best at 160 for now. Again, Ward should fight Stevenson at 168 or Kovalev at 175, that's only 7 lbs., Golovkin would have to move up to 8 lbs, and fight Ward with Ward's personal referee, judges, boxing commission, commentators in his home town. Ward has a problem, he is afraid to fight anywhere except his home town, Ward was the ONLY boxer who did not have to travel in his own boxing tournament................Again, let Ward go up and fight Vladimir Klitschko if he's so good..................Ward claimed that he could knock Vitali and Vladimir Klitschko out easily, so let's see him back up his words?

on par as in ward doesnt get to hand pick everything in negotiations such as having the fight in his back yard. 3G is already far more popular than that bore.

Very true. Ward has to have everything his own way, he is very spoiled and a cheater. Stevenson is willing to come down to 168, but Ward is afraid to fight him for any amount of money................

After Golovkin cleans out the middleweight division, he will have bargaining power and not have to fight Ward on Ward's terms as Ward is used to having. Who did Ward fight last? A nobody. Golovkin is hoping to fight Martinez, Quillin, Murray, Geale, Sturm, the 168 division does not have those big names and Ward is a bore.

How much did Golovkin make in his last fight? How much did Ward make?

Ward is ahead of Golovkin in the department that matters - which is the bottom line - and Golovkin won't ever be "on par" with Ward in that regard as long as he keeps fighting the Osumanu Adama's and Curtis Stevens' of the world...

You still haven't answered the question; exactly WHO is Golovkin gonna fight in the next 12 months that would put him "on par" with Ward?

Ward's last opponent was the most well known fighter in the world today? What was his name?

Stevenson is a hot fighter now, so Ward should fight him ASP, esp. since Stevenson is willing to come all the way down to 168, yet Ward will not fight him. Marvin Hagler was a great champion, better than SOB Ward will ever be, but he fought his entire career at 160 which was his division. Carlos Monzon, 160, how about Hopkins fighting at middleweight for years and years? A huge fight would be if Ward is willing to fight Vladimir Klitschko, since Ward claims he can knock him out easily................so why doesn't Ward live up to his word? A fight with Klitschko would be his biggest payday.............
