Its about TV ratings and gate take, thats the context here. Not names of opponents random haters on boxing forums like to make a stink about.

Btw by those metrics - TV ratings and gate draw - GGG has already *surpassed* Ward. Which is probably where so much of this resentment comes from.

You say Ward is ahead on purse draw in another post.. which is true.. for now. But not much longer. When the fight happens, it wont be on Wards terms either which is a large part of what Sanchez was getting at. No Ontario California* with Jack Reiss. Its gonna be at MSG with a Harvey Dock or Tony Weeks as 3rd man. The haters are just going to have to deal with it.

    Ward's last opponent >>> Golovkin's last opponent

    Ward's last paycheck >>> Golovkin's last paycheck

Abel's just saying that Andre is dangerous and GGG needs to be compensated fairly for taking such a risk. That will only happen once he's beaten everyone at 160 and has built a following.

Stop acting like that's a huge deal. Someone who's been on major networks for over 4 years should have a bigger paycheck compared to someone with 16 months.

Golovkin won't get to be "on par" with Ward fighting the Osumanu Adama's and Curtis Stevens' of the world - and the two biggest names in the division, Martinez and Cotto, aren't interested because there's no money to be made in a Golovkin fight.

In order for Golovkin to make Ward money , and thus be "on par with him, he's gonna have to fight somebody with a pulse - which probably wont happen seeing as his handlers are too focused on feeding him a string of BUMs, STIFFs, TOMATO CANs, No Hopers and NEVER WEREs.

You Golovtards need to wake up.

Which is NOT gonna happen in the next 12 months - so essentially what Golovkin's handlers are saying is that they want no parts of Andre Ward...

    Lol.

If Golovkin is so popular then why is that not reflected in his bottom line?

How about Stevenson/Ward ratings? Ward refused to fight Stevenson at 168. Who else would get that kind of ratings? Golovkin is the best 160 lb. fighter in the world today. He will clean out the division, then move up. Ward will not even fight Stevenson at 168!

STEVENSON CALLED OUT WARD LIVE ON HBO, SAID HE WOULD FIGHT WARD AT 175 OR EVEN 168, YET WARD HAS NOT EVEN RESPONDED. STEVENSON WOULD KNOCK WARD OUT AND WARD KNOWS IT. Ward needs his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, commentators, etc., Ward believes he is royalty. He believes he is above everyone else, so let's see him fight Stevenson. Kovalev would fight Ward ASAP......................

Golovkin is the best 160lb'er in the world? Really? Based on what?

    Exactly WHO has Golovkin beaten?

Martinez is the best 160lb'er in the world until he loses, moves up or retires.

    1 + 1 = 2

That doesn't matter. Ratings and ticket sales are ALL that matter. The purses and stardom follow that. How do you think boxers are paid and why? How old are you? Do you know anything about business? At this rate GGG will be making more. HBO got a bargain, ratings wise, because that's what it took for GGG to get in the door.

Ward is P4P #2 in the world - so in effect, he is above everyone else not named Floyd Mayweather. That includes Golovkin.

    1 + 1 = 2

    Lol...

When Golovkin is making Ward type money then you will have an argument. Until that day - you have shi'ite.

PS - Wake me when Golovkin fights somebody with a pulse...
