Big step up for Berto, maybe to big at this stage.

Ill still go with Andre though, not that sure why Im still sceptical about him. I just think his offensive arsenal would be to much for Clottey and would have him under wraps most of the fight.

 

clottey by KO. Clottey has a nice left hook and berto seems so open for that shot. Plus, clottey is just all around tougher than berto who I think is as hard as an egg.

 

Clottey on exp. strong will and the fact that I think this is a very big step up for Berto. If I was Berto's matchmaker I would steer him clear of Clottey at this point in time.

 

Clottey ... he's always in good shape, he has a high guard, and keeps coming forward.

As far as Berto - he's fast, but he has suspect defense and takes alot of unneccessary shots.

I'm picking Clottey by late stoppage --

 

I see this going down just like Johnson v Dawson, Berto will be throwing those flashy combos but Clottey will be catching most of them on the gloves. I see the fight being scored closer than Johnson v Dawson but a lot of people will say that Clottey got robbed. Berto SD, but generating more questions than answers in the process.

 

Clottey, possibly by KO. Berto's offensive arsenal isn't varied enough to get through Clottey's guard, and Berto's defense isn't good enough to avoid enough of Clottey's somewhat rudimentary offense. You don't need to break Berto down with a Jab to hit him cleanly, which bodes well for a guy like Clottey whose jab isn't all that good or used all that much.

I can see the scenario K_Ologist played out happening, but I think it's less likely for this fight, since the more powerful promoter has his contract with Clottey (as opposed to Johnson who has a rinky dink promoter).

I'll put my money on Clottey. Joshua can take a shot, like he proved against Margo. Berto has been dropped by a clean shot to the chin, he's suspect in that department. If Clottys' hand can stay intact, He just might be to much for Berto at this stage of his career.

Berto wouldn't know how to keep Clottey off of him. This fight may destroy Berto's career. He's not ready.

 

Clottey just might score the very rare stoppage in this fight. Berto is faster and more powerful but he is very easy to hit and doesn't seem like he has the best of chins.
