So if you have to make adjustments that's struggling ? Who was the stronger fighter in the later rounds ? And if I'm correct everyone he has fought was ranked #1 at 154 and Pacs not in this debate he's on the come back trail.

Anyone who rates him as the current best fighter in boxing is all wrong. The best fighter in boxing has no need to duck challenges. Fighters who duck challenges have something to hide at the time they're doing the ducking, usually that they'd lose to the one they avoid, or in this case - multiple.

A recent resume of Ortiz, Guerrero, Cotto and Alvarez is not the best resume in boxing, nor were the performances.

Ward's recent stuff has surpassed that.

whilst flo hasn't picked the best crop (in fact tends not to but now and again does) and ward has tended to pick the best (but not for every fight), I can see why flo is just ahead, wards been out with injuries too long to be current no1.

if ward returns to his pre injury trajectory I am sure he will usurp money soon enough. I hope soon, I am not a Floyd fan.

If you're eating shots, losing rounds and need to make adjustments and have a bloody nose - yes, you're not having an easy fight - thus indicative of the description "struggled with said opponent". Damn, are you that thick? LOL.

    Cotto was no. 1 @ 54?

Canelo may have been at that point but it's still not like a lineal champion was established, he did his usual routine of facing a fighter when they weren't at their best. In this case a green opponent drained down from a weight he already balloons from to begin with and showed poor stamina and potential endurance issue's at the said full weight.

There's never a fight against a Pacquaio, you know, another elite fighter when it was a white hot potential fight from 2009-2011.

No styles that don't present ease - Cotto was a surprise, dude was supposed to be shopworn and finished but showed up in good form. Since then it's back to scrubs and soft opposition. Guerrero FFS! And Khan?!

That's P4P no. 1. Damn, you're easily impressed. I've been watching boxing for years and years, this is all bad and wrong and not of the conduct of the supposed best in the game.

Nah. He's not. He's a cherry picking side show at this point. Used to be the legit best, especially @ lower weights when he'd face other elite opposition, but this side show in the past few years is not the real deal.

    I prefer real boxing.

You *****'s are too easily amused. It's like you're all following a cult celebrity instead of a prize fighter. Acting as his faux-numbers guys and utilizing PPV numbers and earnings as if that excuses ducking and a lack of in ring greatness in the man's total second half of his career.

    ****ing hell.

A stay busy against some prospect. No big deal. He's now talking Groves and Golovkin.

The biggest difference between planning a Golovkin fight in the near future and planning a Khan fight, which is in fact a circus event instead of a real fight, is pretty note worthy.

And who is available other than Khan?

    - Lara, Kirkland, Porter, Bradley..... Pacquaio.... Matthysse... Garcia...

Basically anything is better than Khan. Plenty of good fighters there.

Soon Thurman will be coming up, that won't happen either.

    Ward's looking good.

For being on point? None of you can present a decent argument other than slinging insults at someone that is speaking truth about anything involving Mayweather and where he really stands historically and currently. That alone shows it's on point.

    Everytime out as well.

Ward is the best fighter in boxing as of now.:deal

    8-4.

Some of the rounds though that Mayweather won were competitive and while he took them clean, a few were just edged clean by cleaner blows. It was quite a hard fought win.

Do you really think that was an easy fight and the guy did not struggle with Cotto? He himself said it was a difficult fight, the hardest he had faced.

Although we obviously know that Castillo did better both times and was robbed first go around, but that's what he stated.

So if he fights Golovkins, moved to LHW and fights Stevenson/Kovalev, clears the last remaining SMW guy in Groves and Mayweather fights Khans and Maidanas, he has to wait til Mayweather retires from his side show tour?

    Ludicrous.

One guy would be facing elite level opposition, the other second and third tier as per usual, save for a few instances.
