    - Barry Tompkins: How do you like it? How. do. you. like it? (After Leonard-Hagler goes the distance)

    - Don Dunphy: Oh no! Hearns was way ahead on points! (After Leonard stops Hearns)

    - Alex Wallau: He's stopping it! *voice breaks* HE STOPPED THE FIGHT! (After Richard Steele stops the Chavez-Taylor fight)

    Jim Lampley: This is high drama, and the crowd here is greeting it by and large with stony silence. (Tyson-Douglas)

    "Oh my god; he's won back the title at 32!". Harry Carpenter after Ali stopped Foreman. Still gets me when I hear it now!

    I have a few recordings of the old 40s and 50s radio broadcasts of big fights....just so good.....dunphy was the daddy

    I think Dunphy was fantasic commentating on Ali-Frazier 1, too. Didn't say too much or state the obvious. I still like to listen to some fights; there is a different drama that radio adds.

    Who can ever forget the Frazier-Foreman 1 call by Howard Cosell, screaming into the microphone.

    Down Goes Frazier, Down Goes Frazier, Down Goes Frazier. The Heavyweight Champion is taking the mandatory 8 count, and Foreman is as poised as can be in the neutral corner.

    High drama in the Bahamas. Once Frazier went down, Cosell, was yelling into the mic for the rest of the fight. Damn near lost his voice. I'm not a big Cosell fan, but his call of that fight was great.
