Baer would be the stronger man, believe me. Bigger man, naturally, and that counts for a lot. If anything, Baer's temperament might be a problem; you just didn't know which Baer would show. I think Haye is similarly brittle, though!

If you find those two correlative in skill, i have grossly overestlmated your knowledge.

Haye by KO. Haye has the movement and quickness to avoid Baer, but Baer can't avoid getting hit by Haye. If you pick Baer, then you're basically saying that Baer is going to walk through those shots. That's not happening.

Janitor is very knowledgable and I respect his opinions even when I disagree with them.

To me, Baer is analogous to a Tyson Fury with a bit more power. He is nowhere in the league of a Foreman who could master an opponent's rhythm, possessed a great jab, really good footwork in cutting off the ring and more efficiency and selection in his punches when necessary.

When Baer fought Schmeling he weighed in at a whopping 203lbs. If he trained decently Max Baer, is a cruiserweight today. Posters seem to have in there minds that Baer is some huge monster. I stand by my statement that Haye, whom i'm no fanboy of, is bigger, stronger, faster and hits near as hard. The skill difference between the 2 fighters is huge. Baer fights like an amateur, and it's all on film to see.

Max had a very athletic frame, 6-3 1/2, 82 inch reach, slim waist, broad shoulders... He certainly passed the eye test (total homo)...

I'm not sure how or how much he trained... it certainly wasn't on the finer aspects of the sport, but physically, one would think a strength training regime would put some pounds on that frame. But this again is pure speculation and does not reflect the man who actually entered the ring all those years ago.

Haye would bomb him out. I've always wanted to believe in Max, but whenever I watch footage I'm totally disappointed.

I think that they have very imilar styles, and exactly the same technical deficiencies.

I also think that they got away witth it for the same reasons.

What 'shots' ?? His power is unproven. Glass jawed Wilder was seen taking a flush right hand in sparring and ramaind vertical. Thompson was hurt more by a Past it middleweight.

    His power is vastly overrated.

He never 'KO'd' any HW in his life. Audley Harrison was stopped on his feet. But he is going to knock Baer out for the 10 count , something only the greatest puncher of all time was able to achieve.:nut
