Kovalev is not slow at all. Kovalev is the one asking for a fight with Stevenson, he did so live on HBO. Stevenson did say he wants to fight Ward and will fight Ward at 168 if needed, but Ward ran away.............

When the commentators asked Stevenson about Kovalev, Stevenson changed the subject to other fighters. When Kovalev was asked, Kovalev said that he wanted Stevenson. It appears that Stevenson does not want to fight Kovalev, if this fight were to happen, it will probably be in 2015 if boxing fans are lucky, but do not hold your breath. I pick Kovalev to knock Stevenson out, there is a reason for such..................

Do not look for Ward to come anywhere near Stevenson, Ward knows better............

Just found it. Kovalev commited the ultimate atrocity by using the word "Nergo" in a Russian interview.

Yep, he's the next Hitler. Ban him for life. Dude should conduct himself more like Adonis...

Mainly just hope it gets made - as has been pointed out Stevenson knows it's a risky fight and wants to get some money fights in first, which is kinda understandable at his age.

Provided neither loses first (which doesn't seem particularly likely right now) this is probably the 'must see' fight for 2014.

Bit slower, better at range and timing though. Stevenson may have the bigger single punch but Kovalev throws everything hard and in volume.

What makes this fight so special, whoever you favour, is that a single mistake by either guy could easily lose them the fight.

i think you have that backwards....stevenson is better at range and countering, with good timing....kovalev is better at close range throwing in volume and has great accuracy

Perhaps I could have been more clear. Kovalev is better at controlling range and timing his opponents IMO. I agree Stevenson is a very good counterpuncher tho and the quicker of the two.

Kovalev is too slow and easy to hit for someone like Stevenson, those telegraphed jabs and right hands are gonna be setting up that counter straight left all night long. Stevenson is much slicker than he's given credit for, it'll be hard for Kovalev to find him. Cloud was landing double on Hopkins on average per round than he was on Stevenson

As much as I want Kovalev to win. Adonis is clearly more skilled and is quicker. Adonis wins a tough decision.

Kovalev isn't that slow, he also has better defense than been given credit for.
