You're right, I forgot it was Max Kellerman knocking guys out and destroying them.

Winky hadn't won a fight in 6 years going into the Quillin fight. He hadn't beaten a middleweight in 7.

    Keep spinning, troll. Keep spinning.

If Golovkin is comfortable fighting @ 160 then that's where he should fight. However, if Golovkin's handlers are gonna call out everyone from 154-168 AND claim nobody @ '60 wants to fight then he needs to move up to '68 - if none of the '60 guys are interested. Do what great fighters do when there are no more challenges left, move up..

More BS on your part. Lots of guys @ '60 could easily move to '68.

Lara has a better resume than Golovkin and it ain't even close...

    No. I think he's a special fighter.

    His promoters suck balls though.

Ward beat the top guys in his division.

I just don't see greatness in GG.
He has the reach of a LW and the legs of a FW.

Dude has legs like a crack-addled flamingo with rickets.

Maybe his promoters know something you don't.

    Special fighters do special things.

GG is going to let you guys down HARD.

No. Based on the quality of fighters who compete @ 154 compared to 160.

Of the fighters who are proven @ 160 you have Martinez - and that's IT.

@ 154 you have Mayweather, Lara, Alvarez and Trout...

Max Kellerman actually said GG has unusually long arms:nut

That's almost as crazy as when he said:

"Librado Andrade has the strongest chin in HISTORY":rofl

HBO's announcers have absolutely ZERO respect for the intelligence of their audience.

And many people didn't see greatness in Ward before he was given the opportunities.

GGG's reach is only an inch shorter than Ward's from what I've heard. I don't pay much attention to a boxer's legs but what the hell has that got to do with boxing?

The 154 call out is old - pre GBP/HBO split. The other stuff is just typical talk to try and egg opponents into the ring. Now that HBO on board they think they can make the bigger fights at 160 before moving up.

Ability to move up, and already stepping into the ring at same weight are different things entirely. Fun fact: Alvarez weighs *more* in the ring than GGG, by as much as 4 pounds.

Lara does? How so? Who has he beat? While I actually regard Lara quite highly, if you wanna play boxrec... who has he beat?

His promoters were fortunate to even get him on HBO in the first place.

Typically, older foreign fighters with no name recognition, no natural fanbase, and without Top Rank or GBP tend to get brought in as opponents and get screwed for less money.

Sergio Martinez is the perfect example of this. Pirog, too. Golovkin is the first fighter that fits that profile that HBO actually gave a chance from the get-go, and even then, it's at a vastly smaller part of the budget than other fighters (All three of GGG's fights HBO backed combined cost less than Ward-Rodriguez despite GGG having surpassed Andre in TV ratings by the Stevens fight)

Trout whos only good win is a shot Cotto. Alvarez whos only good win is Trout. Lara who beat Trout and Angulo but struggled previously?

Your basically basing this supposed quality at 154 entirely on Cotto getting outboxed by Trout coming off his FMJ loss. Seems pretty thin to me.

Legs in boxing mean everything...maybe that's why they spend so much time working on them..:think

Floyd is a WW and he has a longer reach than GG..and he's not the only one.

Broner is 5'6 and he an GG have about the same reach.
