    Complete ******.

Fighting 12 rounds while eating shots to the head + body on a hot July Wembley arena (notorious for being hot in the summer) is the ultimate endurance test.

If you think fury couldn't run a 20k in his current con you clearly dks.

Look I suppose that's one way to look at it. But with someone like Fury, who is known to have a bad work ethic, and poor conditioning to me it just looks like him falling back on old ways once again.

Also if this is what happens when he gets stood up, what would have happened if Haye knocked him out? Lol. Dude has to grow up sometime right?

Joe Calzaghe and Corrie sanders are two prime examples of a natural athlete.

No you are the ******. And no he couldnt run 20 km, well maybe over a space of 5 hours or something like that. He's boxing fit.
But he isn't flatout fit, any mug can see that.
He would get absolutely destroyed by your run of the mill fitness fanatic in the gym when it comes to any sort of fitness tests you can come up with.

    Nope he wouldn't.

Vermin like yourself are the worst to argue with.

Being a gym rat don't make you a great athlete, neither does having a good physique, fury is a huge guy, he's never going to look "ripped" he's 6'9" and 290 lbs, and that's in camp.

Even super ripped boxers like Tim Bradley walk around at 185 lbs and look pudgy, do you think a gym rat would be able to out do him in a endurance course?

You clearly don't know ****, why don't you ask his trainer for a week taster at the Fury camp, he'd probably let you come try... Might even pay for a flight over and pick you up at the airport.

12 round boxing fit is an incredible standard. Could he run ultra endurance marathons? No... But he is not training to do that is he, he needs to be fit in a way that will allow him to perform in the ring... Obviously judging by the pic he does not look good, but he may well be wearing something under the T shirt... Don't forget he is a heavily built 6'9 man, not many ' run of the mill fitness fanatics' are his size either..

You are showing your IQ right here mate. Comparing Tyson Fury to Tim Bradley, holy hell dude how are you even breathing? And where did I say that he has to be ripped again? GTFO please.

The point I'm making and others have also made in this thread is that there are numerous people that have full time professions who are in much better physical condition than this joke. There's no excuse for looking like that and his work rate, movement & defense as well as stamina will surely improve from shedding a few tubs of pure lard.

12 rds vs a severely out of shape chisora doesn't cover me with confidence concerning his ability to go 12 rd with someone of similar strength and dimensions such as Wlad for example, and not gass so hard he pukes his lungs out on the canvas.

At the elite level in the lighter weight classes going 12 rounds with the high level of activity that these genuine athletes maintain yes that is definitely an incredible fitness standard, but the same can't necessarily be said of heavyweights - especially concerning the lack of competitiveness and overall low level of heavyweight boxing lately.

    boxing fit>>>gym fit.

Fury is one of the best conditioned fighters in the division today.

Whilst I appreciate what you mean, I think for a 250 pound man to be able to go 12 rounds is a very high fitness standard whatever way you look at it. It is tougher for a HW to get in the shape to go 12 rounds than say a WW, the pace is slower but the sheer bulk more than makes up for that.

He has been in pretty decent shape quite recently, defined abs etc, so he is capable of getting into that shape again, and will do imo for the right fight, he may be a little on the heavy side for this feb tune up though

    Depends on your standards really.
Because of his size its been all too easy for him to just stand straight up hang back get his head out of the way and fight at his pace, covering up or tying people up if they get too close. If he was genuinely pushed to the limit by someone capable of doing so, I reckon his cardio will drop off a cliff.

Also I think it's important to draw the distinction between going 12 rounds and still looking technically crisp and fresh vs falling all over the place looking sloppy, slow and fatigued.
Quite a different scenario wouldn't you say?

Just look at the terrific vids in that thread for some laughs
