I'll say it again, faults like any fighter but I think he's the number two best heavyweight in the world right now. He's the only thing that can stop him from a great career. Enjoying the pubs too much or letting the Mago fight hurt his killer instinct, those are the only questions. I think he beats anyone not named Wlad. He's what Solis should've been.
I agree. But I do also believe he has more than a punchers chance against Wlad. His skills are superior and that chin is pure iron.
I'm with you that he has a lot more than a punchers chance with Wlad. Almost ten years younger and arguably could be the best all around heavyweight Klitscho's fought. Maybe I'm getting out of hand with that but I think that's possible. How many guys now are punchers who proved they can take a real heavyweight puncher AND have the pedigree he has? He's got a better chance than anyone at least.
He never really showed killer instinct vs Mago....just continuously hitting the target. Don't think he'll pass on open counters with Mago in mind. As for what Solis shouldve been......he's only 29-30 y/o and he's making another solid fight too. Solis could very well STILL become the best HW in the world.:think
No, he'll be 34 in April. He's going nowhere fast. I see what you mean about the killer instinct I guess but he never went into an uncalled for gear against Mago but he was landing serious shots constantly and never let up the slow pain. I only mean if he gets so he doesn't want to hurt anyone and holds back the power from now on. Maybe killer instinct wasn't the right way to put it. I could see that.
Lets face the facts. Mago was not all that good yet Perez is getting credit for beating him. Mago lost to David Price before he went pro. Perez is a tomato can.
Mago was very easy to hit, open for almost every punch, rather slow puncher with wide shots, but lots of heart. Mago broke his wrist early in that fight, so he could not hit Perez as hard as he usually did against other opponents. Vladimir Klitschko is a much superior boxer, has more power, great defense, a jab that is harder than most boxer's right hands, Vlad is quick, has stamina, lots of experience both pro and amateur. Gold medal winner. Vlad can hurt anyone with his huge power. Vlad will either stop Perez, TKO him or KO him..........
