Can anyone think of any other fight where such a highly regarded fighter was so utterly outclassed as in the case of Rigondeaux vs Donaire?

That fight to me was absolutely amazing...Donaire was and is legitimately a top 10 P4P fighter and was so totally outclassed..it wasn't like he was "exposed". He was that good and remains that good but its just that Rigondeaux was operating at another level all together.

Are there any other instances of similar fights where an elite fighter was absolutely taken to school by his opponent even though he was a legitimate elite fighter?

Calzaghe Vs Hopkins. Although Hopkins was 43 he was still a truly elite fighter.
Whitaker Schooled Chavez pretty good even though he didn't get the nod.

I wouldn't say Calzaghe schooled Hopkins to the same extent

You do realize he wasn't actually saying he was agreeing with the whole "schooled," right?

Winky Wright vs Felix Trinidad, but Tito was past his best and was only 1 fight back from a long layoff.

Floyd vs JMM was much clearer. in that case the loser also went down instead of the winner.

rigo made donaire come from 106 lbs and cheated him in the scales.

It was a solid win for Rigo.
Let's not forget that Darchinyan was beating Donaire before the KO.
Many were quick to point out Darchinyan was near done before that fight.
Yet people want to try and make Donaire an ATG win for Rigo, lol.

    GTFO with that crap

Floyd fought a blown up lightweight, cherrypicked from two divisions below, whom he also cheated on the scales, and was in extreme stylistical and physical disadvantage to begin with. probably the very worst version of JMM ever.

and you dare to say that cherrypick is a better victory than Rigo over Donaire
you ***** cumguzzlers are pathetic sometimes, really.
