    wrong.

oscar to this day is making money off floyd, not the other way around.

    and oscar was never hated.

floyd will always be oscar's *****.

dont forget, exzpinocha used to be oscar's lawyer.

its all gbp, with a sprinkle of haymon.

floyds's model only works while he is still active.

once he retires, he is done.

did you miss floyd's pronouncements about promoting mma? do you know why?

he cant be promoter, thats's oscar.

he cant be a manager, thats haymon.

he can be a trainer, but how much is a trainer makes without a superstar boxer? floyd almost has no future in boxing and he hasnt crossed over in mainstream.

there's a reason floyd wants the most money he can get while he is active even at the expense of his own legacy.

he knows he has no future in boxing, only the present.

Back then no one expected Mayweather to sell anything and constantly bashed him for his "boring" style and disrespectful/tasteless trash talking. The majority didn't even expect Mayweather-DLH to make over $1 million and thought the Hatton fight would be lucky to make over $500k. Even in his return almost everyone thought the Marquez fight wouldn't break $500-$600k. Even after those numbers came out there were excuses like "Hatton and Marquez sold the fights".

    Pretty much this.

Anyone that honestly believes Mayweather can't make this fight is plain stupid. Whatever fight he wants he can and will make as already proven. When it comes to Pacquiao, his list of demands go beyond reason.

Yet TOP RANK and Golden Boy had no issues signing a fight between Pacquiao and Golden Boy's founder De La Hoya. Not to forget fights like Pacquiao-Marquez, Pacquiao-Barrera II, Pacquiao-Hatton, Pavlik-Hopkins and many more. If you can't see that Mayweather is the reason behind their recent issues then you're the dumb one.

No no no no! Manny already declined the test before, (even though Manny accepted the test as long as there will be no blood drawn one week before the day of the fight, there can be blood drawn after), why you should Floyd fight him now?! -*****s

I don't like the way people give Mayweather a pass for not dealing with Top Rank. He has his own promotions and can work with whoever he wants, he could/should be fighting guys like Bradley and Pacquaio but instead faces Guerrero and what looks like Khan now. This coming from the guy who said 'fight the best to be the best' and 'Pacquaio you're next' etc. Arum is to blame too.

A lot of the argument between Mayweather and Arum was over a sign at the MGM. Britney Spears had a massive sign that cost 150,000 when she was in concert there for a few days/week and Mayweather wanted one for one of his earlier fights, but Arum said no because the venue didn't nearly sell out and they couldn't afford it. It just shows how petty Arum and Mayweather are really.

What contract offer are you ****ing talking about? The one to provide this is the promoter in charge, Floyd puts in his demands Via GBP(which is the one in charge here CLEARLY cause Floyd wants none of TR) Floyd signs it then Pac agrees and signs it too.

Are you telling me that Pac with no promoter is the one to provide the necessary contracts for the fight? As I've said, Pac has no calls for this ****.
All contract side works are supposedly done by Floyd's Side (in this case GBP).
Because they are the ones in charge and they are the ones with demands that PAC HAS TO AGREE TO if he wants the fight.

Now how are you going to get **** done when the one who calls the shots which is Floyd isn't even near the table yet?

Did Guerrero , Canelo , Cotto , Ortiz came to Floyd with contracts already? "Hey we take 95-5% split?" HELL NO, They were offered the fight, agreed to the terms FLOYD AND GBP offered and signed the dotted line. Floyd don't offer splits remember? Only flat fees. So I don't see where your logic stands here that Pac should offer first because he has no info whatsoever in the business side of things.

And now Pac and his team are directly contacting Floyd's team w/c isn't responding. So explain this ****?
He can't even contact them let alone negotiate.

this prolly floyd's biggest impact in boxing: how to sell a villain role.

unfortunately, floyd has to resort to cherry picking to keep the business going.

this is akin to rjj resorting to cherry picking to maintain his "superman" image.

fortunately for rjj, he has prime hopkins and toney on his resume so no one could really question his legacy.

Unfortunately when you're black simply being great isn't good enough. PBF while he was quiet was putting on some of the best boxing exhibitions in the sport but no gave a damn and he was ignored by all the big media darlings. PBF switched his tactic and became a trash talker the bad guy and started calling guys out and it worked he got the exposure by beating media darlings in Gatti and Oscar and hasn't looked back since.

For whatever reason black fighters can't get a break. Ward is a perfect example of this. Here you have a quiet well spoken man who has some of the best skills in the sport and who goes out and cleans out his division yet no one cares and he's bashed for doing so. If he was more brash a **** talker and sold himself he would be hated even more but would become a bigger star. Black fighters have to do this in order to become stars while others don't and it's bull****.

If it's so simple why doesn't floyd just take the biggest payday of his life and get pac out the way if he didn't think he had any chance of losing
