He's letting his fans down badly.
Pulled out of two fights, looked awful in the one fight he did have, and now we have the "phantom" rematch with Sturm.
What is going on with Murray?
There are any number of media outlets available to him these days.
He is well able to talk when in front of a camera or mike, so why can't he front up now today and clarify the mess for his fans?

Indeed. Speaking of which, what about all the poor sods who blew their Santa Money following Barker to Germany?
Remember they bought into all the hype from Eddie that Sturm was " perfect" for Darren, and Darren assuring them all that he would " retire Sturm"?
Remember the tough guy stare down act at the weigh in?

There's a good chance Barker himself and his promoter knew all along that he was crocked.
What about refunds for THOSE fans eh?

Considering Martin has in the past mentioned himself not knowing what's going on with his career i won't be quick to jump on his back over this.

He probably doesn't know much more himself as him and Hatton don't seem close.

People lose, do they? No kidding Einstein!

Is it as simple as that in this case though?
My point is that there is at the very least a suspicion that barker and Hearn misled the fans about Barkers true prospects in that fight.
Dont YOU suspect they knew he was crocked?
Those fans then spent their hard earned money following Barker to what they were led to believe was going to be a huge triumph in Germany.

Surely you suspect ...even just a teeny bit ....that all was not what it seemed about that fight?

Can we get a statement from Felix Sturm explaining his unashamed ducking of GGG?

Get a grip sweet stuff - apart from Macklin EVERY middleweight is unashamedly ducking GGG.

So why do you single Felix out?

Where did the Mail get that story about the supposed Murray v Sturm rematch?
And what did nobody in British boxing clarify the situation. Why did it take felix Sturm, all the way over in Germany to clarify this for us ?

As said, Murray is well able to tweet!
( some would say he IS a bit of a " tweet!")

At least with Barker his fans got to see a fight and they were well aware of his injury troubles.

You can say he has problems with Hatton but it was his own management team that were organising travel and tickets to Monaco. It's an expensive place and if he had no intentions of travelling over there he's well and truly stitched his fans up

Because - GGG was his mandatory for an absolute age and so in my eyes he is the most guilty of ducking him as he's been doing it the longest and having to work the hardest to swerve him. This is especially annoying as Felix hid behind mandatory fights before when the opposition suited him. Then there is the actual attempt at paying not to fight GGG which in my eyes is almost as bad as a duck gets.

All this and Golvkin is even willing to fight in Germany where Felix has been the beneficiary of his fair share of dodgey decisions.

So the question is why are you such an advocate of such a man? And why do you give so much heat to other fighters who aren't half as infuriating?

Also for what it's worth I give just as much stick to Quillin and Sergio for not setting up a fight with GGG. Now if we could just see some consistency from you on these types of matters...

What! You give stick to Sergio. Wash your mouth out with soap this instant sugar.
Quillin ok, he deserves no better, but don't EVER criticise Sergio.

Come to think of it I have never seen where you did. Are you spoofing sugar.....just a little maybe....

I've long thought that Sergio doesn't do his best to secure meaningful fights with other good middleweights. He should have spent a lot less time stupidly calling out mayweather in a fight that was never going to happen and even less time begging for a fight with not particularly talented JCC jr.

There are a lot of potentially exciting match-ups to be made at middleweight and nobody other than GGG seems to be willing to make them happen. If Sergio wants to retire that's cool but get on with it.
