Except Broner's "greatness" was an illusion bought into by some gullible fans. It's been fascinating to watch so many fans project imaginary abilities onto a fighter, mainly because he uses the shoulder-roll and compared himself to Floyd so much that some fools started to believe it.

Props for the guts in taking the rematch but the guy just isn't that good. Needed friendly judges to get past Pdl and Quintero, and almost lost to 10-1 underdog Paulie. Then got abused by big underdog Maidana, not ranked top 10 at welter.

I agree Broner can win if he's dedicated to a great camp and employs a better strategy that highlights his attributes as the faster, smaller fighter. He loses every time if he uses his typical "in the pocket" type of style against guys who have a size and power advantage at 147. Maybe once he matures physically and actually becomes a real welterweight he can work with is style.... But he needs to be on his bike more and use his quickness to fight on the outside for 12 rounds. It won't be a fun fight and he'll get a lot of criticism but he could avenge the loss by being more cautious and intelligent.

When people talk about Broner and his past wins ect i think his fans decide to forget he Lost! to Ponce De Leon, he scraped my Malignaggi, skipped a stacked 140 to take on a feather fisted fighter to win a token belt at 147. Broner has never been great, he has never impressed me i honestly never bought into the hype i felt he was a fighter who's career was guided 3 weight world champion but beaten how many really good fighters? Broner is decent he is not a bum but if i had to place him i'd say he will have a career to the level of a Corrales, Castillo maybe. good but certainly not a ATG he will have several losses on his record if he chooses to fight at the highest level. Broner was being shoved down our throats as the new star a future p4p great, i don't no about others but to me i never saw that more a decent fighter but with clear and exploitable flaws. An ATG he will never be he will stay relevant and at 140 could get some good wins but because of the way he acts he will always be looked on as a total failure.

I hope Broner does go thru w/ the rematch, but that they don't have
the fight in Texas again. IMO Laurance Cole and his crooked paw paw, who
both take bribes from ODLH, saved Broner from getting stopped last fight.
Have the fight in L.A. or LV and watch Broner get tko'd.

Broner has to get on peds to get compete at 147. He should move down to 140 so his power can actually hurt fighters.

You dont have a clue do you. Didnt you see Broner's play acting when he saw Cole was giving Maidana a warning for the supposed headbutt.
Cole just scoffed at Broner said "get up now" I knew both Lawrence & his Father Dickie for years in Texas boith were good guys.
Now if you want crooked>>>> Yeah by all means go to Vegas, or anywhere the CSAC rules You can throw in the NYSAC too. Texas is OK

Yeah Broner is right The Greats have done well in rematches One problem here though Broner is not & never will be a great. He is just like his idol Floyd ... A loud mouthed prima donna wannabee. A REAL fighter exposed Broner just like Manny would Floyd

Sometimes. But off the top I can think of

    Tyson/Holyfield

    Mancini/Bramble

    Frazier/Foreman

    Byrd/Wlad

    Thompson/Wlad

    Price/Thompson

I know Price and Thompson aren't considered greats but it goes to show just because you lose the first match doesn't guarantee a win in the rematch. Broner's gonna' have to find an answer to Maidana's looping over hand right. Styles make fights and I'm betting Maidana will always be all wrong for Broner.

It's hard to tell whether this is more about pride or belief, for young Broner. In any case, I'd be impressed if he corrected all the costly mistakes he made in the first fight. I fully expect Robert Garcia to change up the gameplan a bit though. Will be a good fight. If he can win in the rematch, great things are ahead. But, I think he is better suited for 140...despite the deep talent there.

Or the most avoided:nut....Just ask Khan why he never faced Maidana again :good

There is no rematch in the contract and had AB won he would have left Miadana in the past just like that POS Khan:good

Maidana wins the second fight more easily than the first time:smoke
