I give Angulo a VERY good chance at beating Canelo

Well, no sh*t. I don't care if Canelo was coming off of wins over Floyd and Lara, I still would've thought Angulo would've gotten his ass kicked. The guy is a bum. People are overrating Lara also because Lara was supposed to school Angulo badly but he didn't.

 

Angulo could very well beat Canelo .

As i mentioned in my own thread about this fight , People are seriously underestimating Him .

I repeat , this will be Canelos hardest fight of his whole career .

His management didnt want him to go to war with Trout . Yet he did

Angulo is totally washed up.

The last time we saw him he turned his back to his opponent....considering his injury...I don't blame him.

Just because he dropped Lara doesn't make him a realistic threat to Alvarez...or anybody else.

Lara is just overrated as hell.
Canelito is sturdier than Lara.

 

It would be embarrassing for Canelo to lose to Angulo. It would take a lot away from Mayweather's win as well.

 

TOS has a good point angulo does have a good chance. angulo is underrated in my opinion. he was beating the hell out of kirkland before he punched himself out and was giving lara a beating before the freak eye injury. i would not count angulo out and would call it a 50-50 fight.

A fighter's never the same after an injury like that.

 

Angulo has been in wars, in fact every time he fights. He will need to exert pressure and get an accumulation type KO against a guy who throws way too few punches.

I don't know if Canelo has the power to really dissuade Angulo or the chin to hold up against his decent power.

 

Canelo is a media creation. He's only beaten defunct old men and undersized gnomes from divisions below. He's never beaten anyone legitimately world class who was the same size as him. Austin Trout is the only one and that was a robbery. No way Trout was ever going to get the decision in that fight what with all that mula Canelo's fanbase generates. It was just like Strum was never getting the decision in the De La Hoya fight.

Floyd wouldn't have gone anywhere near Canelo if he was half as good as they hyped him up to be. And even then Floyd made sure he picked that cherry long before it had a chance to ripen and drained him half to death on the scales so that whatever threat he did present was greatly diminished.

 

Ask yourself this question if Canelo was really that good would he have really lost to trout and had a tough fight with Matthew Hatton?

 

If Angulo doesn't gas and punch himself out he stands a good chance. Canelo isn't what people here thought/hoped he was pre-Floyd, but he is good, and deserved the win over Trout without question. But I could see Angulo catching him early and ending it. Or not
