A single page is all that would be required to deal with the sum total of your knowledge, never mind an encyclopedia.

Get ready like a good boy, the sunshine bus will be along in a while.

Can't be arsed to go through the whole of this thread as I'm sure it's full of Roosters frankly bizzare ramblings but winning you're first title against the formidable Benitez, a great, epic scrap against Duran that was a lot closer than people remember it (though Duran definitely won) and the come from behind victory against Hearns (H2H one of the greatest ever) were magnificent. People remember the Hagler win but I was always more impressed with his early career.

Evidently you do, Poxy, which is why you took the time out to acknowledge my post in the first place, and why you responded with such vitriol in your second post.

Take a step outside your mothers basement and go enjoy some fresh air, you silly *******.

Gil Clancy kept referring to Tommy as underweight and said the extra two pounds wouldve allowed him to last the 14th & the next

seems fair since Tommy was so far ahead

and how did he get so far ahead?

partly cuz Ray's inactivity (not throwing enough punches) and partly becuz he cant handle a mover

    I for one wasnt impressed

I was more impressed with Pryor's win over the great Arguello the following year, and Hagler's win over Hearns

I agree that SRL is no top 10 ATG, but he certainly has to be in the discussion of top 25, and should be a lock for top 30.....50-60 sounds like a knee jerk reaction to the opposite extreme...

I am not a SRL fan, and have incorrectly been labeled a SRL hater from time to time. But to deny that not only skill wise, but also based upon accomplishment he was great is ludicrous....the only question is how great, and your position is more incredulous or at least equally of those who want to place him top 10.

Why is he ranked so highly...Flash.....along with power, flash is what people love even more than reality.

True. If it doubt, go by what actually happened. Always works for me. :yep

Hearns's stamina was always a bit suspect. Randy Shields pointed it out in his preview of the fight....he was asked he views as he fought both of them. He picked Leonard to win. Tommy was blowing out of his arse after the first round of the Hagler fight too...rubbery legs three minutes later...lying flat on his back just after.

men. Don't worry about it. You count Leonards loss but you do not count Robinson's loss to Lamotta.

    P4P:
    Duran > Lamotta
    Hearns < Gavilan (Very close)
Hagler > Fulmer (I take '87 Hagler over prime Fulmer)
Benitez < Basilio (Head to head would be a nice match)
LaLonde < Maxim (Leonard KO'ed LaLonde while Robinson was not able to complete the bout against Maxim)

In my book Robinson has three greaters fighters in on his resume. I could add Armstrong and Zivic to the list but Armstrong was not in his prime and Zivic is not necessary because I already place Robinson as number P4P.

    3-2 Robinson.

I will stop there because there is not anyone else close for me to bring in Hagler or Benitez. So you see, I rank people over Leonard based on other things rather than the greatness of people Leonard beat.

Once I got to this part I dismissed the rest of your garbage as not worth bothering with.

What you have written above is an example of nut hugging taken to a new dimension.

Ask yourself this moron. Did Robinson make a weight stip on Joey Maxim?

    Then ask yourself this.

Did Leonard make a weight stip on Lalonde?

We won't even bother with the ring temperature, and referee Goldstein having to be replaced in the 10th due to heat exhaustion, lets just stick to the cretinous Leonards idea of a level playing field, and weight demands.:rofl:rofl

I understand that there is a place in life for fanboys, and girls, and I also understand how gullible and easily impressed they are, but all this " I want your world title, but I don't want you to weigh the maximum you are allowed to weigh to defend that title " just doesn't cut it for me.

I suspect it doesn't cut it for any legitimate fight fan either.

"garbage", "moron", "Crentinous Leonard", "fanboy" and a few other lame insults make up those two post. Any boxing in there? Very little. I think you dismissed my post because you cannot speak intelligently to it or about it. If you could, you would.

Thank you. I knew you could not simply have this discussion. I also want to thank you for forcing me to do some research on those fighters. I feel my boxing knowledge has been strengthen.

    Have a great day pal!

The projection of your own habitual activities is as tedious and limited as your trolling on these boards.

You should really look into taking up my suggestion by the way: interacting with others besides your parents may force you into opening up your vocabulary beyond the usual recycled sh*te.

I say the same thing about srl-Norris

leonard, a prohibitive fave, SHOULDVE beat the F*uck out of a fighter like Norris in Leonard's position (unbeaten in 11 yrs, 5 world championships, not one member of the press gave Norris a chance, eonard with a huge advantage in experience, etc, etc, etc)

I ask u what went wrong?

i'll tell u what went wrong: Ray never faced another fighter with speed and crumbled like a cheap deck of cards

no its true goyourownway, in the third, when Terry sliced thru ray's unprotected guard with the uppercut, Ray felt his guts turn to jelly

the only thing Hagler was guilty of was losing his speed whilst Leonard was guilty of waiting for Hagler to lose his speed. you can hear it right there on the tape

here, I'll even name the round for u - rd 6, last 20 seconds

    Hear it?

and that's why it took 6 yrs to put the fight together

u cant hit Ray slow N soft, u got to hit him fast N hard!

    like Camacho. Like Norris

u put him in his place early. that takes his confidence away

so Leonard loses to both Duran & Camacho, two latins

how u feel about that?

the man must be allergic to latins!

btw, we've already established that the coke stories are just that-stories, fabrications to garner sympathy. your fabrications and feigned outrage "Hagler shouldve stopped a one eyed fighter" are only theatrics

the rest of us, we know what you're up to. I see politicians do it all the time

youre a lying piece of **** and u know it

youre disingenuous just like i SAID

the Hagler of 87 was INFERIOR to every one of those u mentioned

becuz as Sugar told Tim Ryan "Hagler lost a lot of speed and I was counting on it"

see there? i made a liar of u again! u were told the facts and u disregarded them to strengthen your case

u are a person of extremely poor character and a pathetic liar

and Benitez was nothing more than a peace loving pacifist. when put to the test against rough houers Hamsho, moore, Hilton, they took turns socking that fool's head into mush.

Hearns had only 3 def in one year, vs mediocre opposition including Baez who was granted a last minute ranking by the WBA so they could sanction the fight

u are full of crap & lacking credibility and every time u come on here I can expose your propaganda for everyone to see
